A hat-trick of different substance for both sides. The Leeds lose three on a row while the Rockets march on with their third consecutive victory in Nottingham today. A good fight from the Leeds nevertheless. But this game always sailed towards the Yellow army during the second innings.

We hope you enjoyed the live coverage from us. So, that's all we had. For now, it is Arijit Kundu with the signing off duties on behalf of co-commentator Soumarya Dutta and scorer associate Manish Bishnoi. Stay tuned to CREX and adios.
Sophia Dunkley (Trent Rockets Women, Hero of the Match) -  "(On the win) Pretty happy with the start. Great to get the win. Credits to Sunrisers and Annabel Sutherland played a fantastic knock in the end.

(On the wicket) The wicket seemed to be pretty true. It was easier to play it towards the square. It was all about the intent early on.

(On their batting innings) I was trying to keep the intent up. We took on the powerplay and batted well in the back end. Bess Heath played a great knock towards the end. My job is to give my side a good start.

(On whether she focuses more on average or strike rate) I will probably go for strike rate and try to improve on that. (On whether they felt nervous in the end) They have a long batting lineup and  Sutherland is a world class player. So yeah, she made us a bit nervous in the end. Was a great game of cricket and a great win. "
Player of the Match: Sophia Dunkley.
6:08 PM IST, 1:38 PM Local Time: An innings of high calibre from young Annabel Sutherland but it wasn't enough to fragment SunRisers Leeds' losing momentum. They incur a hat-trick of loss after a victory in their tourney curtain-raiser. The Rockets won the important phases of the game in both sessions, ending with back-to-back three victories. They find them four points higher and retain the second position in the points table.

Arriving for the chase, the SunRisers got off to a sedate start, losing an early wicket. Although Phoebe Litchfield came in and tried to fancy around, she could not strong many boundaries. With Jess Jonassen by her side, the Leeds propelled to 50 runs in the 35-run partnership before the all-rounder's dismissal on the 44th ball. Twenty balls later, Litchfield succumbed to dot ball pressure, faltering for a 22-ball 26.

Danielle Gibson followed suit with 61 needed in the last five sets. Although the game tilted in the Rockets’ direction, Sutherland denied them an easy route. She smoked 23 runs off the 17th set, smacking a couple of sixes against Georgia Elwiss to curtail the equation to 32 needed off the last 15 balls.

Lauren Winfield-Hill strung in with a couple of fours in the next set, before Ash Gardner's five-run in the penultimate set left 17 runs to defend for Kim Garth in the last. By this time, Sutherland hastened to a half-century and was well set, but failed to nail the job for her side against her national teammate. The Aussie young gun matched Dunkley's 56 with 59* that saw four sixes and a couple of fours @196.66 strike rate. However, it wasn't enough as the Rockets won by five runs and gained 16 points from five games.

Winning the toss and choosing to field first, the Leeds got the first wicket early as Beth Mooney ended up falling cheaply for a single digit. Subsequently, Sophia Dunkley and Nat Sciver-Brunt build a mesmerising partnership that remained to be the pillar of the innings. Dunkley was solid with her sweep and square of the wicket strokeplay, stringing a quick fifty in no time. She was assisted by Nat for the better part of her stay as the duo added 76 runs together.

Annabel Sutherland came in the twelfth set and fragmented the stand on the first ball itself. Nat followed suit after ten balls, making way for a sudden collapse. The middle and lower-middle order fell like nine pins as Jess Jonassen, Sutherland, and Hannah Baker made inroads with the ball. What seemed a like a sudden batting disappoint was denied by Bess Heath's 11-ball 18* blitzkrieg, propelling the side to 139/7 in full quota.

Stay tuned for the Player of the Match's quote.

6 All gas, no brake from Sutherland but the acceleration may have come a set or two late for the Leeds. Undercooked yorker at the middle and off. Sutherland goes deep and hacks it across the line with all might. She gets the middle of the bat and the ball maroons over cowcorner for a handsome six. However, they fall short by five runs. The Rockets does it in Trent Bridge and marches on with another triumph.
That should be game set and match for the Rockets. 12 runs to win from the final ball now for Sunrisers Leeds. They can't win this game unless there is a no ball.

1 Drops the length short, leg-cutter well outside the off, the batter stretches and pats it off the toe end towards extra cover. The crowd erupts with applause.
13 runs needed from 2 balls now. This game is over for the Sunrisers Leeds.
