So that's it from us at OneCricket. Do join us tomorrow for another double header. I'm Akshay Bhide signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Karthik Raj and Somya Kapoor. Tata. Bye Bye.
Daryll Ferrario (Winning Skipper): It means a lot to us. We have had a tough season but the boys have stuck well together. I'll take responsibility (for the losses), I should have led better. I want to thank everyone who made this tournament possible. Bio-bubble was hard for us.
Vijay Shanker | Player of the Match: It was important for us to have a win. Really happy for Daryll and the team. Wasn't easy for us to come here and have the motivation after so many losses. But when you're playing a game of cricket at this level, you need to put your best effort. Catches win matches generally, I love fielding and I got my first SRH cap due to my fielding. Just need to give 100 percent for the team.
Vijay Shankar is the Player of the Match for his all-round performance.
NS Chaturved (Losing Skipper): I think throughout the innings we didn't have enough momentum. Lost too many wickets getting into the last five overs. We didn't have a good powerplay too. Don't think there was too much pressure as we just needed a win because the net run rate was very high. Disappointing not to make the playoffs, my runs this season don't really matter much as the team hasn't benefited a lot.
Time for the presentation.
Akshay: It was Spartans’ skipper Daryl Ferrario who won the toss and opted to bat first. They lost Srinivasan early in the innings. Shankar walked in and started positively. Sushil departed on the final ball of the powerplay. Shankar led the charge for the Spartans as he found the odd boundary in the middle overs. He was well supported by Ferrario from the other end. Shankar departed on 47 in the 17th over. Murugan Ashwin arrived and hit some lusty blows in the end. He smashed unbeaten 30 off 12 deliveries as he helped his side to post a competitive total. Gowtham and Silambarasan picked two wickets each for the Panthers.
