I’m Gourav Samal, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Ayan Chatterjee and scorer/analyst Bishal Mandal. Thank you for joining us. Stay tuned for all cricketing actions around the world. Good Bye
Hayley Matthews collects the trophy and then takes it to her teammates. They now pose in front of photographs and they are in a happy mood and why not. They deserve this series win 2-1.
Hayley Matthews (West Indies Women Captain): "Yes, very happy. Pleased to win the series. Shows a lot of character to come back from the ODI series drubbing. The batting finally came to the party and bowling came to the part and kudos to them. We have few days of rest then women's CPL so a lot to look forward to for us. Happy with the win. Enjoyed the hospitality and calmness of Sri Lanka and would like to come back here for future tours and series."
Chamari Athapaththu (Sri Lanka Women Captain) - "The result didn’t go our way but I’m happy with the way our young players performed today and the last game as well. We have a good bench strength now. I’m proud of the way my team performed in the series. We will further stick to our plans and look to perform to the best of our efforts in the upcoming challenges."
Player of the Series: Hayley Matthews.
