Jason Holder (St Kitts & Nevis Patriots Captain): [on the game] "Shanaka and Andre Fletcher were outstanding. Johnson Charles & Kyle Mayers - I think everybody played a little bit of part today. It's important that we keep partnerships together and not go helter skelter.

[on Shanaka's promotion] We played enough games to understand our template. Dasun has been in pretty good form so we just wanted to utilize him as much as possible. Today the situation worked where he was able to get a few more balls and he utilized every single one of them. We were well poised at the beginning, giving himself a really good chance. It was very explosive. Well done to him. Credit must really go to him the way he played. It was a team effort. In terms of bowling as well. It has been outstanding. I hope this momentum keeps it going till the rest of the tournament."

Roston Chase (St Lucia Kings Captain): [on the target] "It was a good score but this ground is a chasing ground and those kind of scores have been knocked. We were confident. Needed a good start in the powerplay but that didn't happen so we were always on the backfoot from there.

[on the bowling options] In a game like this, I didn't think any bowler was put under extreme pressure. In the back end I don't want to bring a new bowler. Shanaka played well and put us under pressure. I thought it was very, very mediocre of us.

[on the fielding] We were poor. When you give good players more than 1 chance to have an opportunity to bat and especially on this surface, they're always going to put you under pressure and then the guys coming in, they'll have free rein to play their natural game with that kind of start. We were sloppy and it cost us the game."

Dasun Shanaka (Player of the Match): [on his mindset during the knock] My plan was to play to the merit of the ball and the field placing. After getting 30 runs I felt the wicket is good. When the ball is in my zone, I will take the chance. Luckily everything worked for me. Thanks to the management, especially Jason who wanted to bat me higher.

[on the decision maker behind his promotion] It was both the captain and coach. Lots of discussion behind that.

[on the groundsmen] I will give them a big hug for this surface. I love batting in the Caribbean."
