Milestone
That's it from our live coverage of this fixture. This is Mohammad Anab signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash and our scorer/analyst Ashok Dayma. Cheers.
The first-ever bilateral series between the two sides has now come to an end. South Africa displayed sheer dominance and managed to complete a 5-0 clean sweep. The visitors were too hot to handle for the hosts, who are still finding their feet in women's international cricket. Anneke Bosch finished as the leading run-getter of the series with 214 runs from four innings. However, Laura Wolvaardt and Miane Smit were the two batters who scored a ton each in the series. Annerie Dercksen finishes as the leading wicket-taker of the series with 7 scalps. Her memorable performance with the ball came in the third WT20I when she took her maiden five-wicket haul.
End of a brilliant WT20I game between the two African nations. Today. Zimbabwe Women put up a nice fight against the Proteas. First, the Chevrons stopped South Africa from scoring big and restricted them to 164/6. Then, unlike the past two games, this time they batted with the intent to chase down the target. The side even gave a scare to the Proteas as, at one point, it seemed that the Chevrons would go over the line. However, South Africans are way too experienced and managed to dominate the death-overs phase to clinch a 14-run victory.
Stat: Among teams that have played at least five WT20Is against Zimbabwe, it is only Ireland and now South Africa that have remained unbeaten against the Chevrons so far in the format. Ireland have won all 10 of their WT20Is against Zimbabwe while Proteas have now won all five of their games so far.
Laura Wolvaardt lifts the series trophy and joins her teammates for the celebrations behind the WINNERS board. A dominant performance from the Proteas Women as they complete a 5-0 series sweep.
Laura Wolvaardt (South Africa Women Captain): "(On making it a 5-0 clean sweep) Yeah, we’re very, very happy to have won all five. Today was a close game. I think Zimbabwe played really well. We probably missed a little bit with the ball, but yeah, I think we’ll take a lot of learnings from this series. It was a very fun series for us, and it was lovely to be over here.

(On leading a young squad) Yeah, it’s been great. I think all of them have been so eager to learn and have been full of energy. I really like the way they’ve gone about their work as well, and I feel like there have definitely been improvements throughout the series. So it’s been awesome to work with the young bowlers.

It’s also nice to see a lot of different batters putting their hands up. So yeah, it’s been an awesome series to be a part of, and I’m really happy with what we’ve seen.

(On her Zimbabwe experience) A little bit, yeah. I think the main thing is just how friendly all of the people have been. Everyone we’ve met has been so welcoming, and we’ve felt really welcome throughout the series. So yeah, thank you."

Anneke Bosch (Player of the Series): "[How does it feel? You were Player of the Match twice; now Player of the Series] Yeah, it was a good contribution to the team and helped us get over the line. I'm incredibly proud of our team and how we went about these five games. For such a young and inexperienced team, having everyone put their hands up and contribute at different times was pretty special.

[What are the processes that you had in order that you make full use of this opportunity in South African colours?] Just stay focused and determined to work your way back into the team, and make the most of the opportunities that come your way. You never know when those opportunities might arise, so the key is to be mentally and physically ready for them."
Player of the Series: Anneke Bosch
Ntabiseng Nini (POTM): "(On winning POTM) I feel amazing. It’s really unbelievable. It’s been a great season for me, I would say, and yeah, I’m really happy.

(Trick to bowling pace on a slow surface) I don’t know. I really don’t know. It’s never easy. I just think it’s about trusting my basics and doing what’s needed for the team. I think that paid off today."
