Anurag D: Imam-ul-Haq started the innings on an aggressive note for the Zalmi's. but he was eventually dismissed for 41 by a peach of a delivery by Zahid Mahmood. Haider Ali took the onus on himself and looked in pretty good touch before being dismissed by Dale Steyn for 50. At one stage, Zalmi's were 145 for 5 when Sherfane Rutherford decided to break the shakles and smoke the bowlers all around the Karachi National Stadium. His innings was the difference maker as the big West Indian scored 36 of just 18 deliveries to take the Zalmi's across the line.
Anurag D: Earlier in the day it was the Peshawar Zalmi who won the toss and elected to bowl first. Gladiators lost their opening two wickets cheaply, but then the experience of Sarfaraz Ahmed and Faf du Plessis, took the game to the opposition. Faf in particular looked in good nick and kept the scoreboard ticking. He got out after a well made 37 of just 26 deliveries. After his departure, Skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed took the lead and started smoking the Zalmi's all around the park. He shared a crucial 105 run partnership for the fifth wicket along with Azam Khan, who made a well compiled 47 of a mere 26 balls to take the score of Gladiators to 198 runs.
