Akshay B: So that's all from us at OneCricket. Do join us tomorrow for another exciting day of cricket. Tata and bye bye from me, Akshay Bhide and my co-commentator Akshay Saraswat.
Akshay B: So with this win, the Scorchers move to the 6th position ahead of Heat. Sixers still stay at the top of the table with 21 points.
Mitchell Marsh is Man of the Match for his sensational knock of 57 from just 27 balls comprising of 7 fours and 2 sixes.
Akshay B: Earlier in the day, Hughes won the toss and put Scorchers to bat. The things were going nicely till the 10th over for the Sixers as the Scorchers' batsmen were finding it difficult to score boundaries. Munro looked good for his fifty. But the arrival of Mitchell Marsh changed the whole complexion of the match. He belted the Sixers bowlers all around the park. He scored a quickfire fifty which powered the Scorchers above 180. 112 runs were scored in last 10 overs by the Scorchers and this proved to be the difference between the two sides as the Sixers were left with too much to do, eventually falling short by 86 runs
Akshay B: The chase never got going for the Sixers as the batsmen failed to adapt to the extra bounce that the Perth surface offers. 3 batsmen got out for ducks. None of the batsmen got going. Edwards looked good for his 44 but failed to find boundaries and eventually were bowled out under 100. Some relentless bowling from the Scorchers' bowlers was the highlight of the day with Tye picking 4 wickets and Richardson picking 3.
Akshay B: A dominating performance by the Perth Scorchers see them beat Sydney Sixers by 86 runs. It was always going to be difficult to chase down such a huge total against the Scorchers at the Perth Stadium and eventually the Sixers were bundled out for 97.
