10:55 PM IST and 6:25 PM Local Time: Yorkshire have ended their group stage campaign of the ongoing T20 Blast 2026 with a victory by 18 runs against the Nottinghamshire Outlaws. Outlaws, the table toppers of the North group suffer a defeat after nine games.
Yorkshire won the toss and elected to bat first. Their batters were off to a solid start as both of their openers, William Luxton and Adam Lyth went hammer and tongs against the Outlaws bowlers in the powerplay. They got 83 runs in the first 6 overs and Adam Lyth was the aggressor as he scored 49 in this phase. But the Outlaws' bowlers pulled things back after that. Benny Howell was introduced to the attack and he broke the opening stand by removing Lyth (52). Liam Patterson-White bowled the 9th over and he got William Luxton for 38 off 23 balls. Joe Root did not get runs as he mistimed one off Benny Howell to depart for 2 off 4 balls. Yorkshire crawled past the team hundred in 10.3 overs.
Jonny Bairstow and Moeen Ali started the onslaught in the 13th over. In the 7-12 over phase, Yorkshire could score just 24 runs and lost 3 wickets. Bairstow and Moeen took 11 runs from the 13th over and they added 21 runs from the final over of Benny Howell to catapult the score to 139/3 after 14 overs.
