1:47 AM IST, 9:17 PM Local Time | With that, Worcestershire seal victory on enemy soil to take home the points! They defeat a hapless Nottinghamshire by 20 runs to pick up the W here!
Worcestershire won the toss and elected to bat first, and it was a nightmare start for them as they were reduced to 58/6 inside 9 overs. However, Nathan Smith's unbeaten knock of 51 runs off 35 balls and his partnership with Hose ensured their team put up a total of 154/8 at the end of their 20 overs.
Ben Lister picked up 2/20 from his 4 overs for Nottinghamshire.
Come the chase, Nottinghamshire never found their feet. Wickets kept tumbling at regular intervals and no batter or partnership could really manifest a successful run-chase for their team, evident by the fact that Will Young was their top scorer with 25 runs from 27 balls.
Credit to Worcestershire, as they came back from a dire situation in the first innings to turn the match around and eventually take home the victory. Their bowlers were disciplined and executed their plans to perfection to avoid any close encounter with their opponents.
Tom Taylor was the pick of the bowlers with the figures of 2/23 from his 4 overs and he was aptly supported by some good fielding as they affected 2 run-outs to disrupt Nottinghamshire's chase.
In the end, it was the visitors who came out on top with a morale boosting victory on their travels!
