That's it from our live coverage of this fixture. This is Mohammad Anab signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Abhishek Sharma and Deepak Prakash. Also, a big thanks to our scorer/analyst Ashok Dayma. Cheers.
Tomorrow we have only one game in DPL, instead of the double-headers that were taking place for the past few days. South Delhi Superstarz will meet the East Delhi Riders tomorrow at 7 PM IST & local time.
A clinical performance from North Delhi Strikers. They won by eight wickets and chased down the target with more than five overs to spare. The side outclassed their opponents and defending champions, West Delhi Lions, in all three facets of the game. This is Strikers' third victory while Lions have suffered their second loss of the season.
Sarthak Ranjan (North Delhi Strikers Captain): "[On visualisations before match] It’s been my routine for a long time to visualise the deliveries I’m expecting, the way I think the bowlers are going to bowl, and the plans I believe they’re going to have against me. So, it’s just about assessing how the opposition looks on that particular day, how I think they’re going to bowl, and what their plans might be. It’s about that visualisation and trying to put myself in the best position to win games for the team.
[What’s the extra that you’re putting in?] I’ve been talking to Abhishek Nayar sir in the IPL, and Shane Watson sir was there with us as well. I’ve been talking to them a lot, and they’ve helped me change a few things here and there in my game — where I needed to improve, my mindset, and the way I needed to build my game. They’ve helped me a lot, and I guess it’s just the result of all that hard work.
[Any technical adjustments? You talked about a change in mindset, but have you made any slight technical adjustments that are helping you?] Yes, absolutely. There has been a slight change in my initial movement and the way I keep my weight now. I’ll keep that to myself, but it was somewhere else the previous year. I’ve changed it a bit. Nayar sir has helped me a lot with that, and I’ve been more tactical about my innings. I’ve just been trying to be more tactical with my batting now."
