5:48 AM IST: The news we are getting from the venue is that the toss has been delayed due to rain.
The weather forecast in Hamilton is dodgy as moderate rain is expected there. Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope that the rain stays away and we get a game in. Stay tuned as we hope to bring you the toss and team sheets in just a bit.
Northern Brave leads the Head-to-Head battle as they have won 7 out of the last 10 games. They met in the reverse fixture on the 4th of January which the Brave won by 6 wickets. They will want to complete a double over Wellington and keep their hopes alive.
Both teams have 14 points to their name. Wellington are in 4th place with 14 points from 8 games while the Brave are behind them on Net Run Rate and have 14 points from 7 games. Brave has a game in hand compared to Wellington. This is a must-win game for both teams if they aspire to climb upward in the points table. Remember, one has to finish in the top 3 to make the playoffs.
