Okay then, we have the final two remaining teams of the Legends League Cricket 2026! It is Konark Suryas Odisha vs Royal Riders Punjab. The final is set to commence at 7.30 PM. Do switch tabs and join us there!
On this note, I, Manan Mehta would like to take your leave on behalf of my colleagues Mohammad Anab and Sachin Yadav. B-byeee!!!
6:57 PM IST and Local Time: MATCH CANCELLED! Royal Riders Punjab progress to the final via a walkover!
4:55 PM IST and Local Time: The wait for the toss of the second semifinal continues to elongate. FYI, the first semifinal got over 50 minutes ago. The delay is quite puzzling, considering the fact that a final is still to be played after this game. Let us wait and watch!
4:05 PM IST and Local Time: We are finally done with the first semifinal. Konark Suryas Odisha won the match by 8 wickets (DLS Method). Earlier Konark Suryas Odisha won the toss and elected to bowl first. They restricted the India Tigers to 132/10 (16.1 Overs). The top scorer for the Tigers was Akalanka Ganegama (68 off 39). The pick of the bowlers for Konark Suryas was Malinda Pushpakumara (5-12). Konark Suryas had a rain interrupted chase. The DLS target was 75 in 10 overs. The Konark Suryas nailed the chase in just 6.3 overs. Kennar Lewis was the star of the chase with 55 not out off 22 balls.
1:49 PM IST and Local Time: The toss of the second semifinal has been delayed. We are still just halfway through the first semifinal as it also started off late. So, the waiting time for this particular game has started.
Both Royal Riders Punjab and Mumbai Spartans have had different journeys so far. However, they have found themselves in the same boat eventually where one of them eventually will have to step down.
Royal Riders Punjab started strong and despite a couple of hiccups, they maintained a good tempo to reach the semifinals and end second in the league stage. Their Afghan Power of Asghar Afghan and Mohammad Shahzad boasts loudly about brute hitting ability and the fans would want one special spectacle from them today.
On the other hand Mumbai Spartans are the only side in the top 4 to have made it to the semifinals with less wins than losses. That negative record is in the past now and all that matters is two wins from here. Captain Sreesanth would be telling his mates just that before the all important clash. We are set for another cracker and now just await the coin flip.
