For now, this is Pritam Dey signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash who, along with scorer Sahil Khan brought all the actions of this clash. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world. BYE BYE👋
White Rock Warriors have finally registered their first win of the season and keep their knockout hopes alive, albeit by the narrowest of margins. On the other hand, the Montreal Royal Tigers have been eliminated from the competition. The final game of the day is coming up shortly!
Dwaine Pretorius (White Rock Warriors Captain): "(How does it feel?) Ah, winning is always better. Just very happy for the management and the owners. They have put in a lot of effort behind us. Happy for the boys as well.

(On the bowling performance) Yeah, I think everyone contributed with the ball. We bowled really well in the first game as well. Boys were clinical today. They were nice and calm. It was brilliant to see them perform like that. Happy for Hayden as well. He got an opportunity to bowl today and I feel he did the job brilliantly.

(Everyone contributed apart from himself) Ya. Sometimes you have to go with the feeling of what the team needs. At that moment, it felt like Dickson was bowling really well. Drakes was exceptional in the backend. I thought it really well for us today.

(On the atmosphere in the change room being different after this win) Yeah, if you win a game, you will always have a good feeling. Really happy for Sam as well. It will be a great feeling if we win tomorrow. Hopefully, we put on a great show tomorrow."
Andre Russell (Montreal Royal Tigers Captain): "(Chat at the halfway mark?) Yeah, I think they got 20 runs too many. We were looking to keep them under 120. We wanted to keep picking up wickets. Those partnerships did hurt us today.

(On playing their next game for pride) Yeah, for sure. We have a good bunch of lads. I have been stressing these on team meetings. We have been bowling well and fielding well as well. It's just that luck is not going our way. It has to do with how things have done with us. We will play for pride tomorrow and look to at least end the tournament with a win."
Sam Billings (Player of the Match): "(On his innings) Well, it's all about adapting to the conditions. So, it was nice to repay the faith. It doesn't matter how many games you play, you still have to get a score on the board. So, it was nice to do the job for the team tonight.

(On scoring 72 off 24 on a challenging track) Yeah, it's always pleasing. I think it's funny in any format of the game, especially in this one giving yourself a chance. That's when you can get some success. It gets a bit tricky with the new ball but it does get easier as the game progresses.

(On the last ball of his innings) Yeah, a tale of two halves. It's just that a lot of cricket is being played on that wicket. I think the groundsman has done a fantastic job. He has kept working hard throughout the competition. Short tournament, very short space of time so all credit to him."

9:30 AM IST & 9 AM Local Time: White Rock Warriors have won the bottom-of-the-table clash! They have finally secured their first win of the season, defeating the Montreal Royal Tigers by 13 runs
Earlier in the day, after being asked to bat first, the Warriors lost both their openers cheaply. Aryan Sidhu once again showed plenty of fight, scoring 26 off 18 balls, while Sam Billings was the standout batter with a blistering 72 off 24 balls. Dwaine Pretorius provided some valuable runs down the order to take the Warriors beyond the 125-run mark as they finished on 140/5 from 10 overs. Brett Hampton was the pick of the Tigers bowlers with figures of 3/28.
In reply, Tajinder Singh gave the Montreal Royal Tigers a solid start but his stay was cut short as he departed for 22 off 10 balls in the second over. Josh Brown struck a couple of sixes before falling for 13 off 5 balls, while Andre Russell came in early and provided some much-needed impetus. He smashed a couple of sixes but was dismissed for 17 off 8 balls, leaving the Tigers needing 76 runs from 30 balls and under pressure.
The Tigers then suffered a dramatic collapse in the middle phase, slipping from 41/2 to 81/7 as the chase began to drift away. Scott Kuggeleijn (12*) and Ali Abbasi (37), however, kept the contest alive with a tremendous 40-run partnership for the eighth wicket, taking the game deep. The Warriors then turned to their experienced campaigners in the death overs, with Dominic Drakes and James Fuller executing their plans brilliantly. They defended the total superbly as Montreal Royal Tigers finished on 127/9, handing the White Rock Warriors a 13-run victory and their first win of the season.
