That's a wrap from our side as well. The defending champions Perth Scorchers have been knocked out of the WBBL 2022. We appreciate your participation from all across the world.👏👏 On behalf of my co-commentator Ayan Chatterjee and Scorer/Analyst Zeeshan Naiyer, I, Deepak Prakash, am signing off. We have three more WBBL games lined up for today so don't forget to join us.✌✌
7:34 AM IST | Deepak: The defending champions Perth Scorchers have been knocked out of the WBBL 08 as the Melbourne Renegades crushed them by 6 wickets.🎯

Prior to the rain intervening, the Scorchers, who were given the opportunity to bat first, were able to amass 46 runs for the loss of just two wickets. Rain causes the Scorchers' innings to finish early. With 24 runs off 22 balls, Sophie Devine remained unbeaten, and Marizanne Kapp did likewise with 13 runs off 12 balls. Ismail and Ella Hayward both had one wicket for the Renegades. The Renegades had to chase down 57 runs in 8 overs, according to the DLS.

The Renegades didn't get off to the right start in their reaction to the 57 runs as they lost both of their openers in the first over of the inning. At 15 runs for the cost of 4 wickets in 3.2 overs, they were struggling after losing a few more wickets.

In the end, a short cameo of  Erica Kershaw helped the Renegades to win this match by 6 wickets. Erica Kershaw remained unbeaten till the end and scored 34 runs off 18 balls.🔥🔥

On the other hand, Lilly Mills picked up 3 wickets for the Scorchers giving away 9 runs in 2 overs, and Alana King picked up one wicket.
7.3 M Kapp to E Kershaw
4 FOUR MORE! That's it. Good length angling in, Kershaw looks to carve it away and gets an inside edge past the stumps an old french cutlet that goes away to the fine leg fence for a streaky boundary. It's a streaky way to end the proceedings, but they will take it with both hands as the Renegades win this by 6 wickets under the DLS method with 3 balls left. The Perth Scorchers have been knocked out of the tournament. The defending champions go home with that defeat.
7.2 M Kapp to E Kershaw
4 FOUR! This has sealed it for sure.  Fuller length around off, Kershaw slaps it away up and over covers as the ball goes away and runs away to the fence. Kershaw is doing it for her side.
Smart bowling from Kapp as she is bowling a slower delivery.
7.1 M Kapp to C Leeson
1 Kapp will bowl the final over. Fuller length with pace off the ball, Leeson works it to long-on for a single and gets off strike here.
