Sourya: The Stars get up to third on the table with that win with 23 points from 11 games, the Renegades, despite the Bash Boost point, stay bottom after another disappointing outing. I, Sourya Chowdhury, will take your leave on behalf of myself and my fellow commentators Arjun Bhalla and Akshay Bhide. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did, see you very soon.
Sourya: Liam Hatcher picked up figures of 3/29 while Zahir Khan and Billy Stanlake got two a piece for the Sixers in a great comeback for the bowlers. Hatcher was named the Man of the Match for his stellar spell. Here is what he had to say at the end of the game: "I just tried to go into the wicket and back myself with the long square boundaries. It's interesting in the Power Surge. I'm really loving my time with the Stars."
Sourya: For the Renegades, Kane Richardson showed his class with the ball by picking up figures of 2/24 but he hardly got any support. It was a similar case for them with the bat where Sam Harper hit a belligerent 63 but only got partial support from Shaun Marsh and Mackenzie Harvey. They were 78/1 at one stage but the Sixers did brilliantly to pull things back and get them all out for 150.
Sourya: So the Stars have prevailed in an entertaining, low-scoring Melbourne derby over the Renegades by six wickets to add to the misery of their local rivals. Set a target of 151 by the Finch-led side who chose to bat first after winning the toss, the high-flying Sixers had this chase mostly under control despite the Renegades getting two late wickets to take the game deep. Both Marcus Stoinis, who hit a couple of characteristically fierce sixes as well as five boundaries, and Nick Larkin, who anchored the chase smoothly, got 43. Though Maxwell fell for 20 and Larkin also departed soon, Nic Maddison and Hilton Cartwright held their nerves to take their side to another win in this year's BBL.
Sourya: Bold batting by both batsmen gets them home in a tricky chase, great way to wrap it up.
19.1 Imad Wasim to Nic Maddinson
6 MAXIMUM and THE GAME IS OVER, Nic Maddinson ends the things in style! WHAT A KNOCK!!!! WHAT A SHOT!!! WHAT HITTING!!! Full delivery, in the arc for Maddinson and he SMOKES that one all the way over the long-off boundary for a HUGE MONSTER!
Akshay: What a brave shot by Cartwright. This shot has certainly steal the game for them.

4 Tossed up stuff outside off and the batter reverse sweeps the ball to third man for a boundary. Stars need 4 runs in 6 balls!
