That was a brilliant run-chase to close out another double-header day in the IPL. Earlier, it was an anti-climax at Lucknow as the rain had the final say, but this was some ball striking by both teams, with Mumbai Indians claiming two points at the end. We are signing off now, but the coverage continues. Don’t forget to join us tomorrow as well. For now, it was AkshayaKrishna Polya, who, alongside my co-commentators Ninaad Dixit and Hitesh Peddurwar and scorer/analyst Paras Yadav brought you all the live-action of this mouth-watering fixture.
Ishan Kishan: "I know but the wicket was good for batting. I kept the wickets for 20 overs and I knew how it was playing. So I knew what to do exactly. I went with the clear mindset that if anything is in my arc I would go for it. Rishi Dhawan was swinging it pretty well and with their wicket-keeper not coming upto the stumps, I used my feet and charged the bowlers.

The message from the coaches was simple and they said to watch the ball and hit the ball. It doesn't matter what is the target. Whether it's 215 or anything it doesn't matter. We had such a run chase earlier and we finished it as well.

I train really hard and work hard on my fitness as well. The credit goes to my mom's food. I got this compliment earlier as well. But then I lost both of them. I hope I keep this one (chuckles as Harsha Bhogle praises the diamonds on the ears of Kishan)."
Player of the Match: Ishan Kishan
Rohit Sharma (Mumbai Indians Skipper): "Yeah, definitely the things are different now. When we started playing T20 cricket 150,140 would have been a good total. Plus one extra batter makes a big difference.  I was checking the average inning score in this IPL, which is 180. So you can make out and sense that if teams are making 200 then teams can chase that. Yeah, SKY is doing it for us for the last few years. He plays shots behind the wicket, he uses his strengths to perfect. Ishan and SKY play pretty and Tilak and Tim finished perfectly.

Yeah, we have just talked about it, we need to bat well. Before the season we just talked that we need to just express ourselves, in the meanwhile we might lose a few games but we need to get over it. Ishan looks small but he has so much power, he has been practicing it for the last few weeks.

We need to look at certain options, we need to take in the middle overs.
I think we have been conceding 200+ from the last 3 to 4 games we need to work on our bowling, with the extra batter coming in it becomes a bit tough. "
