With this win, Noida Kings have ended their league stage campaign with five wins from 10 games. They have entered the playoffs stage. Meanwhile, Mavericks have suffered their first defeat of the season but it doesn't matter much as they have already qualified for the playoffs and will finish at the top of the points table even if they are beaten in the final league match.
The game was shortened to five-over-a-side but it was never short of entertainment. Spinner Shiva Singh bowled a dream spell of 5/6, which even included a hat-trick. Mavericks did put up a fight by picking up five wickets but their total was too low to be defended. Both sides' spinners picked up a heap of wickets since the surface was a rank-turner.
Shiva Singh (POTM): "(On his bowling today) Sir, when you look at the tournament, you don't even realise how ten matches pass by. The next match comes up immediately, so you don't have much time to think. So I just try to stay in the present and execute the match-to-match plans that we prepare for the team at the hotel.
(On his approach while bowling) Yes, sir. As I've seen when I bowl in the league, initially the batter tends to take some time to settle in. But today was a short match, and thankfully I picked up five wickets, so it was a very good feeling.
(On the surface) Yes, the wicket was a little difficult because it had rained, so it became a bit sticky. But we had tried to restrict them to somewhere between 40 and 50 runs. Since my spell went well, we restricted them to an even lower score, so that was really good."

(On bringing spinners from both ends) Obviously, sir. In the morning or afternoon match, we had all seen how challenging the wicket was to bat on whenever a spinner bowled. So, I decided that we would use spinners from both ends.
(Any specific reason for the change in batting order) The reason was to maintain a left-right combination. It was becoming very difficult for the right-handers to hit the left-arm spinner, especially with the ball turning away. So, that was the main reason. There was also a bit of confidence involved.
