MI London with an exciting 4-wicket victory over London Spirit in the derby have moved up to the 2nd spot in the points table. London Spirit at the other hand have been knocked out of the tournament with just 4 points to their name!
Sam Curran (MI London Captain): [on the contest] "They beat us last week so I guess we wanted revenge and we managed to get it. We were really good. The surface played really well. Pretty predictable because of the short side, long side. In the end we moved to 16 points so lots of positives.
[on Raza] It's handy and we knew Rash was leaving us. We kept Sikandar quiet for a long time. We told him a few weeks ago that we wanted him and I think that was a good planning for us. He's a big, experienced T20 cricketer and these cameos win you matches.
[on the upcoming game against Rockets] They are playing really well. We know they're above us and we play them on Saturday. We'll stick to our process, back to our home ground as well so it's exciting. It's great that everyone's beating everyone.
[on the importance of the top spot] It's one less game and you are straight to the finals. The Eliminator is at The Oval so if we were to play in that game, it's not the end of the world. One game at a time. We play Saturday. We moved into second and then, top of the table clash.
[on London Spirit knocking out] Really good team but I guess it's quite sweet knocking them out."

Told Polly (Kieron Pollard) that this is the plan with the left and right; I can attack so that you can bat through, hopefully with the asking rate down. It is nice to get a few out off the middle and win the game. Even though Sam (Curran) started slow, we knew that both Sam and Nicky (Pooran) could finish the game. Mason Crane was bowling well; it would have been high-risk cricket to hit it to the leg side at that time, so I think they calculated it nicely. The partnerships between Nicky and Sam and then myself really helped.
