That marks the end of our coverage. Lahore Qalandars got obliterated by Peshawar Zalmi as they got bundled out with just 97 on the board and lost the game by 76 runs.
Now it is time for the Sindh derby to begin. It's Kings vs Kingsmen as Karachi meets Hyderabad in just 45 minutes of time and it promises to be a fiercely competitive encounter.
For now, this is Saptak Sanyal signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Ajay Pal Singh and Manan Mehta and the scorer/analyst of this match Raju Khariya and the statistician Mohammad Anab.

Babar Azam (Peshawar Zalmi Captain): "(On the win) The way we started with the bat was good. The pitch was a little different. The plan was to utilise the first 6 overs. Post the powerplay things got slow but we tried to not lose a wicket. However, Mendis played really well.
(On his own runs) How much ever time you spend on the wicket, you feel better. The runs come nicely and you feel confident. We always try to do whatever is best for the team. Trying to rotate the strike and then finding the odd boundary from time to time."
Shaheen Shah Afridi (Lahore Qalandars Captain):"(Was bowling first a good decision?) I think it was a good decision. We had a collapse in batting. A partnership was required. I hope it will be better next day.
(Tell something about the bowling unit) Yes we could have taken the catch of Kusal Mendis when he was batting on 1 or 2, it would have been better. But that is a part of the game. We have five games left and have to do well."
Kusal Mendis (POTM): "(On the conditions) The wicket was different to the last match. I think Babar and I batted well in the powerplay. We had a chat that if we have wickets in hands then we can always catch up.
(Importance of his runs as there was a collapse at the backend) It was always hard for the new batter. Set batters can always strike them better. Probably that is why we collapsed at the end. However, we set it up well at the top to help us out eventually."
Player of the Match: Kusal Mendis

The Fazal Mahmood Cap goes to Shaheen Afridi for now as he is currently the leading wicket taker.
