So, that’s all the action from this encounter. MI New York and Washington Freedom will lock horns shortly. Do join us there and stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world. For now, this is Megh Mandaliya, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Akshay Bhide alongside our scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer. Cheers!
Sunil Narine (Los Angeles Knight Riders Captain): "It's good to win. If we make winning as a habit, it will be good. We had opportunities to capitalize in the games we lost but failed to grab those. Hopefully, we will be the ones crossing the line in the next edition. First time here playing a tournament and it's been a great experience seeing the fans support this tournament."
Wayne Parnell (Seattle Orcas Captain): "I think Rossouw showed his experienced there. As I say, It's a game of inches and unfortunately, we were on the wrong side of the game today. We have to be consistent. Winning or losing, there is always room for improvement. We have to learn from these experiences."
Rilee Rossouw (Player of the Match): "It's a different feeling (on winning). We have lost two games on the trot but we have put a complete performance today. Happy with the win. The ball was keeping a bit low and I had to adapt to the conditions."
Player of the Match: Rilee Rossouw
Time for the post-match presentation.
Adam Zampa (Los Angeles Knight Riders): "We certainly haven't played our best cricket in the tournament. It's a good feeling to finish on a high. Bit of a mixed bag. I bowled okay throughout the tournament. It has been the story of the tournament for us. Couldn't get going. Rossouw is an experienced campaigner. He has played plenty of T20s around the world and he keeps his head cool at all stages. It has been a great experience and loved to have the opportunity to play in the inaugural edition of MLC."
1:28 AM IST, 3:59 PM Local Time | That will do it for the Los Angeles Knight Riders! A ferocious knock from Rilee Rossouw has helped the Knight Riders to attain their maiden victory in MLC. Knight Riders have defeated the table-toppers by 2 wickets to end their campaign on a high. Knight Riders were reeling at 22/4 at one stage but Rossouw has pulled things back remarkably.  It was another fantastic performance from the Wayne Parnell-led side but they failed to dominate those crucial moments in the game. The Los Angeles fans will have something to cheer about.

Chasing a competitive score of 171, the Los Angeles Knight Riders were off to another disastrous start with the bat as the Orcas’ bowlers ripped through the top order. Cameron Gannon commenced the collapse by getting rid of Jaskaran Malhotra in the second over before the right-arm pacer dismissed Gajanand Singh 3(3) in the same over. Imad Wasim soon joined the wickets tally by having the woods over Jason Roy 2(5). Saif Badar collected a couple of crucial boundaries but the right-hander also threw his wicket away in the powerplay.

The Knight Riders were tottering at 26/4 after the end of the field restrictions after dealing with some early blows. Rilee Rossouw counterattacked in the 7th over and released some pressure. Dre-Russ also took the aggressive route and started to step on the gas. Rossouw and Russell stitched a 67-run partnership for the 5th wicket and brought out a glimmer of hope in the Los Angeles dugout. Harmeet Singh broke their stand by removing Russell for 37(29).

Skipper Sunil Narine started with a maximum but the southpaw soon holed out in the deep in the acceleration process. Shadley van Schalkwyk 12(6) and Adam Zampa 12(11) added some valuable runs to the total at the backend but failed to drag the game to the end. The South African Rossouw shifted gears at the right juncture and swatted 17 runs off the 18th over which changed the entire complexion of the game. Rossouw played a match-winning knock of 78*(38) that helped the Knight Riders to bag their maiden victory in the competition. Stick around for the post-match presentation!
19.1 I Wasim to R Rossouw
6 SIXXX!!! Rilee Rossouw finishes things in style. What a sensational knock he has played today to help his side win the first game of the competition. Imad tosses this up outside off, Rossouw gets underneath this one and tonks it straight over the long off fence for a maximum. With this, the Knight Riders beat the Seattle Orcas by two wickets.
