So, that is it from myself, Karthik Raj and my co-commentators, Dev Rajawat and Saptak Sanyal. A note of thanks to our scorer, Zeeshan Naiyer as well. Do join us for more exciting T20 action on Friday. Two teams who are in the bottom half of the table, Quetta Gladiators and Rawalpindiz will face off against each other at the Karachi National Stadium in the hope of getting some momentum in their respective campaigns.
Instances of 3 Bowlers from the Same Side Taking 3 Wickets Each in a PSL Game:

Mohammad Amir (3/7), Imad Wasim (3/18) & Usama Mir (3/24) - Karachi Kings vs Islamabad United, Sharjah, 2017

Khushdil Shah (3/16), David Willey (3/22) & Imran Tahir (3/24) - Multan Sultans vs Quetta Gladiators, Karachi, 2022

Shaheen Afridi (3/3), Salman Mirza (3/16) & Rishad Hossain (3/34) - Lahore Qalandars vs Islamabad United, Lahore, 2025

Iftikhar Ahmed (3/9), Nahid Rana (3/7) & Sufiyan Muqeem (3/18) - Peshawar Zalmi vs Karachi Kings, Karachi, 2026 (Tonight)*
Babar Azam (Peshawar Zalmi Captain): "(About the partnership between himself and Kusal Mendis) Definitely. Told that even at the toss that we have to make use of the Powerplay. Myself and Mendis did that and carried on the momentum.

(Plans during the first innings) There was a lot of planning. We wanted to not break the momentum. Looked to target certain bowlers. The pitch was very good to bat on. (Abdul) Samad also added some difference to the innings.

(Pacers doing well apart from Iftikhar Ahmed) Definitely, the kind of confidence our batters have made, the bowlers are also doing the same. Its a complete team effort, everyone is executing their plans."
David Warner (Karachi Kings Captain): "(Toss decision was right? or just bad bowling cost you?) I think our decision to bowl first is what we intended to do. But the guys batting were stroke makers. They took their time and hit boundaries in each over. It's quite difficult to reign back. At the halfway mark, we were in with the fight but in the next three overs, they put around 50 and it is something unacceptable in this game.

(Losing three wickets early makes it difficult. Isn't it?) Ya it is. In the first six, you need to be positive. Couple of good balls led to wickets, good ground fielding also and the credit goes their way. They had enough runs on the board. A tough chase.

(What will be the conversation in the dressing room?) I think this sort of loss is what you need to get the energy back in the group. I think we had a period of 6-7 days off. It takes a little bit to get back into it. Players are in good spirits. A great crew. We will enjoy the tomorrow off."
Kusal Mendis (Player of the Match): (On his innings) ā€œI really enjoyed my innings and I’m very happy to score another hundred in T20s. We batted really well, and Babar supported me a lot. We had a great Powerplay together and then continued to enjoy the conditions.

(On the pitch and conditions) It was a very good wicket. The ball was coming nicely onto the bat with a bit of bounce. I enjoyed playing the fast bowlers, and we handled the spinners well in the middle overs.

(On maintaining momentum instead of slowing down) We had a plan after the Powerplay. Since the wicket was good and we were targeting more than 200, we aimed to get at least two boundaries every over. Babar and I kept that intent, and it worked well.ā€
