Sohail Tanvir:- The bowlers stood up to their job and hence we won the match. Initially, the pitch had some pace which made it easy for them to score runs but as the pitch got slow I knew that now we can give chance ourselves and bowl on a good length to win the match. Nawaz bowled very well, he stood up to my expectations, and it feels very great to see young bowlers doing these jobs, so many many Congratulations to him.
Usman Khalid:- "It was a chasable target as we bowled really well in the first inning but the pitch got a bit slow in the end. So it was hard to score runs and all credit to Northern's bowler who bowled the perfect line and length, they didn't give any chance to score runs".
Player of the match (Mumtaz Nawaz):- "First of all Thank You to all mighty Allah for giving me the power to win the match. The target was a bit low so I had in my mind that have to bowl on perfect length consistently to take the wickets. Tanvir Bhai backed me very well and told me to consistently bowl on the stumps and that made all the difference. Thank You, Tanvir Bhai for showing trust in me".
Harsh: The drama ends here at Multan Cricket Stadium as Northerns manages to win the match by 6 runs after scoring a par score. A time when Khaibhar batsmen were in a dominant position to win the match easily but it was a majestic performance by the Northerns bowlers who changed the game completely.
Nawaz Mumtaz's left-arm unorthodox bowler was the go-to man for the Northerns as he took 3 wickets off his 4-over spell and gave away only 20 runs. Jamal who bowled the initial overs of the powerplay gave only 26 runs and took one crucial wicket of Farhan. Jamal khan who bowled the crucial middle overs of the game took two wickets, the dangerous Amin and Ghulam, and gave away only 31 runs.
For Khyber Harris batted really well and played a superb dominating inning of 41 runs off 17 balls. He got out after looking to hit against Mumtaz but got stumped out behind the wicket. Amin batted very well in the middle and Captain Usman batted till the end but was not able to win the match.
Northerns regularly took wickets and that made pressure on Khyber batsman. The pitch got a bit slow after the first 10 overs which made challenging for the batsman to hit the bowlers. But it was all brilliance of Northern bowlers that gave them the win.
