Milestone
Back-to-back days where the home side has been beaten β€” and we have a first in IPL 2026! The team batting first has finally gone on to win a game this season. A complete and commanding performance from Sunrisers Hyderabad as they ticked all the boxes across batting, bowling and fielding to secure two vital points.

For the three-time champions KKR, it’s now two losses in two games. Plenty to reassess as they head back to the drawing board in search of answers.

Next up, we move to Chepauk for another exciting clash as Chennai Super Kings take on Punjab Kings. The Men in Yellow will be eager to bounce back after a heavy defeat in their opener against Rajasthan Royals. For now, this is Pritam Dey signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Akshay Bhide & AkshayaKrishna Polya who, along with scorers/analysts Manish Bishnoi & Paras Yadav and statistician Aman brought all the updates of this clash. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world. BYE BYEπŸ‘‹
Nitish Kumar Reddy (POTM): "(How pleasing it is to see his performance end up getting a POTM award?) I mean, it is very good. It is just the match-winning performance that I was waiting for a long time. Thankfully, I have delivered it at the right time. Even with my bowling, I got some confidence in myself as well.

(Asking him to go through the endurance while he was injured) It is just me trying to be positive. There have been too many negative thoughts in my mind because the last season didn't go my way, and I had too many injuries. I didn't bowl last season. I know I worked on my bowling a little bit. I got a break before the IPL season. I worked really hard on my bowling. It is really paying off. When you work hard, and it shows off on the ground, it feels happy. I am happy enough.

(How good is his body feeling?) I am feeling very good. Thanks to the trainers and the physios who have been taking care of me. I mean, my body is feeling fit now."
Player of the Match: Nitish Kumar Reddy
Ishan Kishan (Sunrisers Hyderabad Captain): "(Happy with the way you played?) Well, not happy with the way I played but really happy with the way the rest of the team played. They were really committed in the middle. Everyone was putting their energy and that was something I asked for before the game and I was just happy to see all of them putting their effort.

(Thoughts at the halfway stage?) No, I don't think the pitch was that good to be honest. Head and Abhishek played a beautiful knock out there, getting those 80 runs in the powerplay, making the game easy for us. I think every batter got that extra time to take singles and understand how the pitch is playing. So, to be very honest. I will give full credit to all the batters and especially, Klassy (Klaasen) for taking it to the end. Nitish played a lovely knock as well. So, it was overall a team effort I feel.

(Thoughts after the 1st over of the second innings courtesy Finn Allen's start?) No, our plans was to look for wickets. We all know that when Finn goes, it's always hard to stop him. At the same time, we were all just looking for wickets and Harsh just bowled that ball and we were lucky enough to get his wicket early. All the bowlers bowled really well and I was very happy with the way they executed the plans tonight.

(On Harsh Dubey & Shivang Kumar) Harsh has been doing really well for a long time for his domestic team. Now, he is keeping his nerves down. He has been calm in tough situations but I would love to talk about Shivang, who was simply magnificent today. He was bowling with a big heart. He did the job for us today.

(On areas of improvement) Fielding is something we need to work on as a team. Those 10-20 runs makes a huge difference in this format."
