There will be a two-day break in the Tamil Nadu Premier League 2026 and then the action will resume from the iconic Chepauk Stadium in Chennai. Kovai Kings will be in action on Tuesday now and they will face Chepauk Super Gillies.
A one-sided affair brought an end to an entertaining leg in Dindigul in the ongoing edition of the TNPL. Kovai Kings proved to be too hot to handle for Trichy Grand Cholas. A 116-run win for the Shahrukh Khan-led Kings sees them move up to sixth place on the points table, while Trichy slip to fifth.
Shahrukh Khan (Kovai Kings Captain): "[Happy with the performance] Yeah, it is obviously delighted after such a huge win. We have been playing good cricket, it has not been like the matches have been one-sided. The boys are in good stead, they know their roles.
[Message to Sachin B or other batters] Yeah, there's no such message when we play. We try to let the batters know what they are trying to do. It is impossible to put yourselves in their shoes and understand what's running in their head. It is important they continue their A game and take the team to a total they think is par on the wicket.
[On Jhathavedh Subramanyan] Yeah, he's unplayable on some days. He has been a consistent performer for us. I am very delighted to have Siddhu and Jhathavedh in our team.
