That is all we have for you from this magnificent game of cricket. This is Tarun signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Rajarshi and Abhishek, alongside our expert scorer and analyst Ghanendra Singh Thakur. Thank you so much for joining us tonight, cheers, and goodbye!
The excitement in the UP T20 League 2026 is only getting started, with another blockbuster double-header lined up for later today, 21st August. Make sure to tune in at 3:00 PM IST as the Meerut Mavericks square off against the Noida Kings in the afternoon clash, followed by a star-studded evening showdown at 7:30 PM IST featuring the Lucknow Falcons taking on the Kanpur Superstars.
What an absolute thriller of a finish! The Kashi Rudras have pulled off a spectacular heist right from the jaws of defeat, defending their total to secure a breathless 7-run victory. The Kanpur Superstars pushed them to the absolute limit, but Kashi's composure under extreme pressure proved to be the ultimate difference-maker in this high-octane encounter.
Sahab Yuvraj Singh (POTM): "(On his plans) I was looking for the same kind of a knock as I knew I needed to bat deep and then look for my scoring stroke.
(On missing out on a ton) Yes, I feel I missed the slot delivery towards the end as I was feeling tired and will need to work on my fitness more.
(On adjusting from middle to top-order) I usually bat at the top but I am willing to help the team in whichever manner and slot they want me to bat and he very fact that we won made me the happiest."

PLAYER OF THE MATCH: Sahab Yuvraj Singh.
Karan Sharma (Winning skipper, Kashi Rudras): "(On defending the target) Absolutely, sir. The required rate was around 10 runs an over, and I think one six or one four can change a game at any moment. So I felt that particular ball was very important. As a bowling unit, we were discussing that we needed to execute our yorkers as well as possible. We just focused on that execution.
(Thoughts on Sahab Yuvraj Singh's batting tonight) Absolutely, sir. The work we did in camp before the tournament and before the matches really helped. We had analysed that he could potentially bat higher up the order for us, and today he proved himself. I think you could even call it a blessing for us. If a middle-order batter can open the innings for you and perform like that, then I would definitely consider it a blessing for our team.
(Insights on his team preparations) Obviously, sir, no team is perfect. You have to build the perfect team. So I think we identified the areas where we needed to work, and we've worked on them. I think there's still a lot of work to do and a lot of improvement needed as the tournament progresses, because the situations will only get tougher. We've won only three matches so far, so we'll take it one match at a time and keep trying to improve with every game."
