This win will inspire a generation in J&K, this could be the sporting turnaround moment for the state as well. That's it from our coverage of the prestigious Ranji Trophy 2025/26! It brings the end to the Indian senior men's domestic season as well. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of co-commentator Karthik Raj, scorer Rajesh Pal and from everyone in the team who brought you the coverage from the big Indian domestic season this year! Stay tuned for more action from around the world!
Paras Dogra (J&K Captain): "(What he feels right now) I have words to be honest. It will take some time to describe what I am feeling right now.

(About this team) Definitely, I feel I am very lucky that I got a group like this, an association like this. It has been amazing to rub shoulders with these guys. I have got no words to describe how amazing this team is.

(QF against Kerala last season) We learnt from that one-run defeat. We kept talking that each run is difficult. We wanted to give our 100%, don't care about the results. We didn't want to repeat the same.

(Debate with coach whether to bat or bowl first) It was looking a bit dry. I thought maybe it might turn. But after we had a discussion, chose to bat first.

(His future) To be honest, I don't know where I will be. Never thought I will be here. For now, will enjoy with the boys."
The winners side Jammu & Kashmir receive their winning medals with Paras Dogra receiving the Ranji Trophy from Mithun Manhas and Debajit Saikia.
The Karnataka side collect their runner ups medals. Devdutt Padikkal receives the tournament runners-up trophy from BCCI president Mithun Manhas and honorary secretary Debajit Saikia.
Auqib Nabi (Player of the Series): "[on his season] It was unbelievable. We have won the trophy for the first time. When I started playing for the team, I dreamed of winning this tournament. We were trying since a long time, we struggled a lot. Finally we have won the tournament.

[on his fifers in QF, SF and finals] My plan is simple in every match. I try to give my best. Whenever the team requires, I put the hard yards. Every match is a must win in the knockouts. I give my 100% any way I can.

[on his specialty] I stick to my process, I don't look at who is batting. I want to bowl in good areas and get the batters out, we win the game by taking wickets.

[on his family] Everyone supported me well and are very happy. I want to thank them and everyone who prayed and wished me from Jammu & Kashmir.

[on inspiring the J&K youngsters] If you have limited facilities, work hard and don't think about anything, just keep working hard and inspire everyone."
Player of the Series: Auqib Nabi
Shubham Pundir (Player of the Match): "If I have to say the truth, it feels like a fairytale. It is a big thing for our region, a great achievement.

(Team's plan in the 1st Innings) Aim was to bat as long as possible. The plan was to hopefully score 500-600. My plan was to see through the new ball, play as straight as possible and target the spinners.

(On his two century partnerships) I enjoyed batting with both Yawer and Abdul Samad. There was a lot of fun.

(Something he wants to improve upon) Outside-off stump while playing on the front-foot, that is an area I would like to improve upon in the future."
Player of the Match: Shubham Pundir
Devdutt Padikkal (Karnataka Captain): "Really proud of the boys. Getting to the final is never easy. Credit to J&K, they played superb cricket throughout the season.

[on toss factor] At the end of the day it's the final. Regardless whatever you do, you have to do well. J&K played much better cricket.

[on Auqib Nabi] He has bowled exceptionally well throughout the season. Our batters have scored runs as well and we backed ourselves. We failed to negate that performance from his side. Very happy for him. To have a season with 60 wickets is fantastic, wishing him the best.

[on areas of concern] This is the first loss for me as a captain. Really happy the way the boys have played. Lot of young guys coming and for them to feature in a final early in the career is amazing. I hope all these guys will continue."
Qamran Iqbal: "[on feelings] Feeling wonderful to win the Ranji Trophy for the first time. It's a collective effort from the players, coaching staff and administrator.

[on his late entry] I got a late call around 3 PM before the first day of the match, took an evening flight and reported at the stadium at 8 AM on the match day.

[on his preparation] I was prepared as I was practicing and playing matches back home.

[on stepping outside] I was confident against the new ball and stepping outside the crease was tactical as well.

[on Karnataka] They are a strong side, congrats to JKCA for the win.

[on Dogra and coach Sharma] I would first congratulate to JKCA and the past administrators who sent the team away to play more matches like the Buchi Babu tournament etc. All the senior players keep things light and contribute well. Every single player contributed to the win.

[on his journey from India u19 days] Wil focus on one game at a time but we will celebrate this win today."
