It's goodbye from us after a cracking game of cricket. Signing off is Ajay, along with his fellow commentators Akshay and Shubham. See you all tomorrow evening for the next encounter. Until then, take care!
Asif Ali | Winning Captain & Player of the Match: "Played according to my strengths. Last few games didn't go to plan but grateful that the shots came off today. Didn't have options after our two bowlers went off. Had confidence in Waqas. This one is dedicated to Shadab."
Babar Azam | Losing Captain: "The game we witnessed tonight was brilliant. The way we responded was good and I'm proud of the boys. The mindset is always to win the game and we did a fine job in the first 10 overs but failed to hit the right areas in the slog overs. The way Imad and Qasim played, in the end, was fantastic and due to it, we came close to the target. But, we failed to get across the line and it's a part of the game."
Time for the presentation.
Waqas Maqsood won't deny saying he has bowled the spell of his life here! Getting the important scalp of Imad Wasin and defending just 8 runs in the final over is no mean task given the situation this game had slipped into. The Islamabad United were two bowlers short in no time when the chase began. However, the stand-in skipper Asif Ali chipped in with two wickets, that too of Sharjeel Khan and Mohammad Nabi, to push the Kings on the back foot. Liam Dawson filled in well, returning with figures of 1/21. Both Faheem Ashraf and Hasan Ali were taken to the cleaners as the duo leaked as many as 95 runs from their 8 overs combined, almost gifting a win to the Kings. Regardless, this will go down the memory as one of the more interesting games of PSL. Shadab Khan and Co gain two more points from this encounter and stay in the 3rd position on the points table.
Who on earth wrote that script? What a cracking game of cricket that was! This game was in and out of the grip of Karachi kings throughout the chase. Babar Azam and Co started faltering even as the Islamabad United lost two of their frontline bowlers. Sharjeel Khan held one of the ends for quite a while before getting out on 44 off just 29 balls. Just when we started ruling the Kings out of this competition, Imad Wasim played probably the best innings of his PSL career to bring his side right back into the game. The all-rounder received support from youngster Qasim Akram. While the Pakistan U-19 captain, Akram, smashed a 26-ball 54, Wasim took just 28 balls for his 55. However, all of that was just not enough, and the Karachi Kings remain winless in PSL7 as Waqas Maqsood defended 8 in the final over.

W Drama Drama Drama. You just can't describe this ball, to be honest. Ok, I'll try to describe it but I'm out of words. Chris Jordan is run out on the last ball and the Kings have again failed to get across the line. A slower delivery on the stumps from Maqsood, Jordan looks to hit it straight but ends up chipping it straight back to Maqsood, who jumps in the air in his follow-through and even gets a hand to it but fails to grab it. The batters try to sneak a run but Maqsood collects the ball and under-arms it on the stumps at the non-striker's end. Akram tries to come back for the second but Jordan isn't interested. The decision is sent upstairs and Jordan is well short of his crease. Crazy scenes here as Maqsood defends eight runs in the final over and United win the game by a solitary run.
