Deepti Sharma (Player of the Match): "Actually, they have faith in me, the captain, and everyone. I did the practice for it. Bowling in the powerplay and coming at the end of the innings. They are supporting me and that's what gives me confidence. I really don't feel pressure. I just enjoy it whenever I get to bowl."

Harmanpreet Kaur (India Women Captain): "I think we bowled well but still I feel we could have done better than this. Amount of bowling we have we were looking to restrict them to under 80 but anyway we will take it in a positive way. I think it's a great positive when you have too many options and you have to keep thinking about what is your best eleven, the next game will be a great opportunity for us to try the final eleven, everybody who is getting the opportunity is doing well. It's always good when you get some runs and I am very happy that I am there and supporting the team."

Hayley Matthews (West Indies Captain): "Hundred percent. Throughout the entire series, the way Shamilia Connell is bowling is a big positive. Also nice to see a few Under-19 players make their debut. There has been huge energy in the team and really good to have them. Having some options is always nice to have. Cricket is a sport where anything can happen on the day. We just have to believe that we will turn things in our favor."

Earlier after being invited to bat first, West Indies Women were restricted to a paltry 94 runs in 20 overs. Hayley Matthews was the top scorer for them as she amassed 34 runs off 34 balls. On the other hand, Deepti Sharma was the standout bowler for the India Women as she scalped three wickets and gave away just 11 runs in 4 overs.

In pursuit of West Indies’ paltry 94 runs total, India got off to a shaky start as they lost Smriti Mandhana who failed to impress with the bat and departed for just 5 runs.
