As I don't really have that, I just wanted to go up and spend some time in the middle. Producing the semis means a lot since we put in a lot of effort and want to succeed whenever we have the chance. Smriti Mandhana (Player of the match): "The finger is fine. One of the hardest innings I've ever played. Not the pitch, but the speed at which they were bowling, and the wind made matters worse. (Discussion with Shafali) We were encouraging one another to keep up our fitness. She wasn't timing it well, and I was hitting poorly. But as we were attempting to talk about that, there was a lot of wind, and we had to adjust to how quickly they were bowling. It's good to record some runs and go to the semifinals. We didn't get the England game we wanted."

Ireland suffered early jolts in the form of Amy Hunter and Orla Prendergast. The former was dismissed in the form of a run-out and the latter was cleaned up in the first over itself by Renuka Singh Thakur.
