That's it from our coverage of this Legends League Cricket 4.0 fixture. The Tigers were a much better side with bat and ball. They move up the ladder and the Captains have a lot of catching up to do.

Manan Mehta here signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Ninaad Dixit and scorer Paras Yadav. Stay tuned for more action from around the world.
Pawan Negi (India Tigers Captain): "(Fun of playing in Haldwani) This is my hometown and I like to play here a lot. I get a lot of support here. The wicket today was playing much better. We though knew that with our spinners we can always curb the scoring of the opposition.

(Team environment) The team meetings are all about playing positively. Our senior players put in a lot of efforts out in the middle."
Jeevan Mendis (POTM): "(Thoughts in his performance) With the rain I feel the wicket got better in the last 24 hours. Negi told everyone to get ready to bat. According to the situation the batters were going to be sent.

(Plan with the bat) I thought putting the bowlers under pressure with different sweeps would help.

(Thoughts on his bowling) I had a small injury on my shoulder and I couldn't bowl as fast I would have liked to buy okay no worries."

Time for the post match presentation...
11:56 PM IST and Local Time: India Tigers win by 4 wickets! That is a proper drubbing from the Tigers over the Captains! They were in serious trouble at the halfway stage but from then on they just had the big partnership they needed and Jeevan Mendis alongside Kuldeep Hooda completed a clinical chase!

The Indian Tigers won the toss and elected to field first. They were met with some aggressive batting at the top from the Captains. After the first powerplay, the Captains raced to 68/2. Ritik Joshi was the main aggressor in that phase.

However, post the powerplay, the spinners slowed down the scoring for the next three overs. Just 12 runs were given in that phase and a wicket was taken as well. However, Ritik continued on his merry way post that quiet phase as he took down Jeevan Mendis for 27 in his first over. Ritik brought up a superb 50.

The Captains were going strong and 130/3 in 13 overs. They just hit an incredible roadblock at that point. The Captains lost 4 wickets in 5 balls. Two run outs and two fabulous deliveries from Pawan Negi brought that upon them. They slipped to 130/7 in no time and lost Ritik Sharma for 62 off 34.

Captain Imtiyaz Ahmed did some late striking to push the score to 154. That's when another two quick wickets fell. Eventually, the Captains hobbled to 167/9 in their 20 overs. The pick of the bowlers for the Tigers was Pawan Negi with 3-15 next to his name.

The chase was always going to be tricky with the wicket slowing down. The powerplay was crucial. Tigers made it all their own. They smashed 68/2 in the powerplay and got off to the best possible start. Samit Patel ruled it with his hits and raced to 30 off 16. He was dismissed but had done enough damage by then.

The equation at that point was 100 off 78 balls. That is when a new twist was introduced. Aniruddha Joshi removed both the set batters in a span of 3 balls. Then Akshay Wakhare took out one more in the next over. From 75/2, the Tigers slipped to 77/5.

Just when you thought that the Captains would apply more pressure, Kuldeep Hooda joined hands with Jeevan Mendis at the crease. The pair stitched a match-winning 89 runs stand and were also aided by a plethora of extras. Hooda scored 32 off 20 and Mendis notched up 42 off 30 balls not out.

The Captains' bowlers bowled an unforgivable 42 extras. The bowling card was a sorry one with no standout performance. The Tigers chased the target with 4 wickets in hand and 20 balls to spare.
