MG Naveen (Shivamogga Yodhas' stand-in skipper): "(On Smaran Ravichandran's injury) Yes, we're hoping the scans come back clear and everything is normal. It looks like it's just an impact injury, so hopefully he'll be alright.
(On him not being able to contribute with the bat) Personally, that innings was very satisfying for me, and hopefully I'll be able to contribute with more runs in the upcoming matches as well.
(How do you describe yourself) I'm a batting all-rounder.
(On the side's batting performance today) Yes. Our plan was for the batters who got set to carry on and bat deep into the innings. That's exactly what happened. Smaran played his role really well, Parantap finished strongly, and everything came together nicely."

Shivamogga Yodhas were sent to bat first and they scored 207/6 on the back of some fine knocks by Smaran Ravichandran, Aadarsh Prajwal and Aneesh KV. In reply, Hubli's innings got off to a disastrous start as Mohammed Taha fell for 11 in the second over before Hardik Raj (8) and Harsha Wardhan Khuba (7) departed in quick succession.
At 28/3 in just 4.3 overs, the Tigers were staring at a batting collapse. Wicketkeeper-batter Kruthik Krishna attempted to steady the innings but managed only nine before becoming Shreesha Achar's first victim. Captain Aneeshwar Gautam then played a positive hand, striking four boundaries in his 19-ball 25, but his dismissal left Hubli struggling at 63/5 in the 10th over.
With the innings hanging in the balance and HT needing 141 runs from 60 balls, Shivkumar Rakshith and Abhinav Manohar launched a spirited recovery. Rakshith took the aggressive route from the outset, smashing 52 off just 27 deliveries, including three fours and four sixes, while Manohar complemented him with a fluent 38 off 27 balls, featuring five boundaries and a six.
