And what does the result mean? Thailand Women win by six runs, successfully defending 120 and extending their perfect T20I record against Hong Kong Women to 8-0. The match had everything. Dropped catches. Momentum swings. Late wickets. A tense final over. And ultimately, a six-run finish.
What decided it in the end? Thailand's ability to defend a modest total under pressure. Their bowlers kept taking wickets whenever Hong Kong threatened to build momentum. Onnicha Kamchomphu finished with 3/27, while Phannita Maya took 2/22 and Thipatcha Putthawong added 1/23. Hong Kong's own bowling had earlier been excellent after the powerplay, especially Lamplough's 4/11, but their batting never produced a partnership large enough to control the chase. Both teams had moments. Thailand simply held on to theirs.

Could Hong Kong Women finally beat Thailand Women in T20Is? They came agonisingly close. Thailand posted 120/9, and Hong Kong chased with purpose but finished on 114/7.
