So what do we take from this one? Kingsmen won ugly. Which still counts as winning beautifully on the points table. A small chase became a suspense thriller. Kingsmen take the win. RawalPindiZ take the heartbreak.
Until then, I am Dev Rajawat, signing off, along with my co-commentators, Darpan Tikiya, Manan Mehta, and scorer Ashok Dayma. Also, a special thanks to our statisticians, Mohammad Anab and Aman. That’s it from our side. Thanks for joining. But there is one more match scheduled in PSL 2026 today. So, switch tabs, follow the fun. Goodbye from this tab! TAKE CARE! BREATHE AND SMILE! CIAO!!!!
Marnus Labuschagne (Hyderabad Kingsmen Captain): (On moving up to fourth in the points table) “That’s good news. I think we’re just finding our balance and our right combination. It’s nice to get three wins in a row.
(On improving after earlier losses) Even in the matches we lost, there were periods where we played really well. We kept reminding the team that we weren’t far away, and now we’ve been able to put complete performances together.
(On winning a low-scoring match) Today was a bit tricky on a difficult wicket with a low score, but Niazi and KP did a great job to finish the game for us.
(On the bowling unit’s impact) Hunain and Mohammad Ali set it up for us. They’ve been very clinical, read the game well, and understood the conditions. I’m really impressed with them. It’s nice to be where we are now.”
Mohammad Rizwan (RawalPindiZ Captain): "(On not being able to adapt to the pitch) The pitch was always going to be tricky. We knew it and spoke about it as well in the meeting. We wanted to keep 140 as the target but our batting collapsed and credit goes to their bowlers they kept us down to 121.
(On the good bowling performance of his side) It is great to find positives but the fact is that you need results. Yes, we did our best to push the match right till the end. The bowlers bowled from our side too, but the unfortunate truth is that we still have not won a game."
Hunain Shah: "(On bouncing back from an iffy performance in the last game) Even in the last match, I bowled well. I did miss a few things, but I went back and worked on it. Today I bowled according to the pitch and it gave the rewards.
(On bowling alongside Mohammad Ali) I have been bowling with him for a long time, even in domestic cricket. Here again, I like bowling with him. Pretty happy about this performance.
(On his mindset when taking the field) I always want to be the main bowler of my team and take the responsibility."
