Arjun: With this win, the Guyana Jaguars have placed themselves in the Final of the Super50 Cup against the best side of the tournament, a.k.a the TNT Red Force. On the other hand, the Windward Islands Volcanoes have been koed out of the competition after this 95-run embarrassing loss.
Arjun: All the Jaguars' bowled well on this slow pitch. Chanderpaul Hemraj took two wickets, whereas, Raymon Reifer and Veerasammy Permaul got a reward each but it was the spin-genius Gudakesh Motie who bowled a magical spell of 4 for 53 and sealed the deal for the Guyana Jaguars. The fielding was astonishing as well, the Jaguars saved a dozen of runs, if not more, and the highlight was the two runouts that showcased the caliber of the side.
Arjun: It all started in the first innings when the Jaguars put a mammoth total of 305 runs on the board, despite losing the plot in the death overs. The Volcanoes had momentum on their side and they had a respectable start in the first ten overs but after Kavem Hodge's awful runout, the batting side lost the momentum and the opposition's spinners created immense pressure which later resulted in wickets getting tumbled in the middle overs as the Windward Islands succumbed in the chase. Only Alick Athanaze (58 off 74) showed some composure but after his wicket, the Windward Islands got under the pump. The pressure of the required run rate pushed them in a fix and they lost the last eight wickets within a span of 110 runs.
Arjun: The Guyana Jaguars have thrashed the Volcanoes in the second semifinal of the Super50 Cup. Leon Johnson's men have won this game by a huge margin of 95 runs.
