For now, it is Soumarya Dutta signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Mohammad Anab, Omkar Iyer and our scorer/analyst Sachin Yadav. See you soon.
We've had an exciting contest here and despite the rain there was no dearth in the quality of cricketing action. Switch tabs and tune into our live coverage of the second game of the day between the Noida Kings and the Kashi Rudras. The game has been slightly delayed owing to the rain that interruped this game earlier.
Right so, we've come to the end of a thrilling contest between the Gorakhpur Lions and the Kanpur Superstars. The Lions held their nerve in the end and won in a rain curtailed game despite Adarsh Singh's brilliant 100 early on. The Gorakhpur Lions are now number 3 in the points table with that win while Kanpur Superstars are at the bottom of the points table.
Adarsh Singh (POTM): "(On his knock) I have changed my intent from the previous game. I wanted to take the game deep earlier. This time I wanted to play fearlessly and take on anything that was in my range.
(On his strokemaking) Yes I have a good range in the off side and cover drive is my favorite stroke. I have been playing these strokes since my childhood.
(On preparations for the Kanpur leg) Yes, we are well prepared for the next leg. We will look to give our best for the Kanpur leg of the tournament.
(On their bowling) It wasn't really in our hands today due to the DLS issue. We couldn't do much. However, we will look to win all our next few games."

Player of the Match- Adarsh Singh
Aryan Juyal (Gorakhpur Lions Captain): "(On getting smashed in the first innings) Yes, 100 percent. I feel the boys know what mistakes they made. And the way Adarsh batted, I think that was also a very good innings.
But I feel that until a batter gets set, if you bowl in his strong areas, it becomes easier for him. The way he played through the covers was particularly good—he played those shots well in the last game as well as in this match. All credit to him, but the requirement from our bowlers is that whatever plans we are making and whatever discussions we are having off the field, we need to go out there and execute them.
(On Nishant Kushwah's knock) I think, 100 percent. But if you look at it, we needed 48 runs from five overs—that's 48 runs from 30 balls. I think we could have been a little more sensible during those overs. The reason is that the job had already been done in the first five overs. We had made up for the extra runs we had conceded earlier.
So, at that stage, if we had been a little more sensible—rather than going for sixes, if we had looked for boundaries, taken the safer options and run well between the wickets, especially because the outfield was slow—I think we could have won the match by five or six wickets instead of three."
