1:39 AM IST, 9:09 PM Local Time: That's it. Glamorgan thump Somerset at home. On the back of a scintillating hundred from their skipper Kiran Carlson, Glamorgan beat Somerset comprehensively by seven wickets to register their first win of T20 Blast 2026. Also, they hand Somerset their first loss in this competition.

Chasing 172, Kiran Carlson, the Glamorgan skipper, came out all guns blazing. He played some fantastic shots and scored at a brisk rate. His opening partner William Smale played the role of a second fiddle perfectly as the opening stand grew past 100. Somerset looked clueless on the field as Carlson took the game away from them completely.

Carlson brought up his hundred in just 42 balls. He scored 109 off 45 before falling in the 12th over as the 146-run stand was broken. Carlson's knock comprised 13 fours and six maximums. Smale at the other end scored 40 off 27 before getting run out in the latter stages of the chase. Benjamin Kellaway too fell cheaply on three but Henry Hurle (2*) and Sean Dickson (16*) provided the finishing touches as Somerset chased down the total in just 13.5 overs with seven wickets in hand.

Earlier, Somerset were asked to bat first. Tom Banton gave his side a blazing start, notching up his fifty in just 21 balls inside the powerplay. He scored 59 off 25 before falling in the seventh over. It allowed the hosts to pull back things. They picked up regular wickets and didn't allow the Somerset batters to get away.

Daniel Sams lower down the order played a handy knock of 22 off 18 which helped Somerset get to 171/9 at the end of their 20 overs. For Glamorgan, Nathan McAndrew bowled a sensational spell and picked up four wickets, giving away only 15 runs in his four overs. Mason Crane also bowled well and registered figures of 3/42. In reply, their skipper led from the front and helped them seal the game with a fantastic ton. With this, Glamorgan grabbed their first win of this year's competition.

4 FOUR!!! Dickson finishes things in style. Thomas bowls it full and right in the slot on off, Dickson gets underneath this one and pumps it up and over mid off for a boundary. A convincing victory for Glamorgan as they beat Somerset by seven wickets.
13.4 Josh Thomas to Sean Dickson
4 Four more. Thomas bowls a good length delivery outside off, Dickson goes for the cut but gets it right off the cue end of his bat. It goes through the gap between backward point and short third man for a boundary. Scores Level!!!
13.3 Josh Thomas to Sean Dickson
4 FOUR!!! Heaved away for four runs. A little fuller than the good length around off, Dickson goes deep in the crease and heaves it away over mid wicket for a boundary. It falls just short of the ropes.
13.2 Josh Thomas to Henry Hurle
1 Back of a length delivery outside off, punched to the sweeper in the off side for a single.
