11:23pm IST and Local Time: So Ujjain Falcons have begun their Madhya Pradesh Premier League 2026 campaign on a high, dismantling the Gwalior Cheetahs. We hope you liked our coverage of this game. It is time for me, Sourya Chowdhury to bid you good night on behalf of me, my fellow commentator Omkar Iyer and our scorer Manish Bishnoi. See you soon.
Madhav Tiwari (POTM): (On his bowling) “No, I just try to vary my pace and use different variations depending on the conditions.
(On the experience of playing in the Indian T20 League) I got some really valuable experience from that campaign and learned a lot while being around top players. (On his batting and the power he generated) I took my time to settle into the conditions first, and once I got comfortable, I started backing my shots.(On his role model) I really admire Jasprit Bumrah and love watching him bowl."
Chanchal Rathore (Ujjain Falcons captain): [on the score] "The runs were enough. Our target was 200."
[On the spin bowlers]: "We were confident of our spinners especially our leggie Ayush."
[On the good start to the tournament] "Yes our plans fell into place and as a result we got things going in the right manner.
Rajat Patidar (Gwalior Cheetahs Captain): (On the opposition’s batting performance) “They batted superbly and I feel we lacked a bit in execution with the ball, but there were still plenty of positives for us to take away from this game. Our openers gave us a really good start in the chase."

(On Parth Chaudhary’s innings) “I know Parth really well, and it is beautiful to watch him grow as a cricketer. He played a fantastic knock under pressure. (On the tournament being a platform for youngsters) This tournament is a great opportunity for budding cricketers to showcase their talent, and I would also like to thank the fans for all their support."
11:03pm IST and Local Time: The Ujjain Falcons have begun their MPradesh Premier League 2026 campaign on a high, dismantling the Rajat Patidar-led Gwalior Cheetahs by 92 runs.
While Madhav Tiwari starred with the willow for the falcons, it was their spinners who turned the match on its head by picking up wickets consistently and denting the Cheetahs batting order despite them going at a fast clip.  Leggie Ayush Mankar (3/31) began the carnage with his googlies, while left-arm spinners Rishi Miglani and Adheer Pratap Singh got two each while keeping the run-rate in check.
IPL superstar and India international Patidar only got 11 and Parth Chowdhary saved them the blushes with an innings of 46.
Earlier, having been sent in to bat first, Ujjain Falcons put up an imperious 221/6 from their quota of 20 overs.  The experienced Madhav Tiwari propelled them with an immaculate innings of 62 off 31 studded with four fours and five sixes.
Madhav mixed up improvisation and classical shots while being involved in a match-winning partnership with Aryan Pandey (19 off 7). Most Ujjain batters contributed with skipper Chanchal Rathore (33 off 17) powering them in the powerplay, while Yash Dubey and Ojaswa Yadav also scored smart 30s to keep the run rate ticking. Akash Raghwanshi picked up two wickets for the Gwalior Cheetahs but was expensive.
