For now, that is it from myself, Karthik Raj and my co-commentators, Mohammad Anab and Deepak Prakash as we wrap up the coverage of this fixture. A note of thanks to our scorer, Ghanendra Singh Thakur as well.

There is still much to look forward in the CPL as three teams, Jamaica Kingsmen, Barbados Tridents and St Lucia Kings vie for the two remaining Play-off spots. Barbados Royals will take on Jamaica Kingsmen tomorrow with a win good enough to take the former to the Play-offs. Meanwhile, the Jamaica Kingsmen will want to reduce the margin of loss in the worst-case scenario so that they don't fall behind St Lucia Kings in terms of the NRR. So, there is a lot to play for.

What a performance once again from the Guyana Amazon Warriors as they post their 100th CPL win and the eighth win of this season. They have been, by far, the best team of this competition. As far as the Trinbago Knight Riders are concerned though, they will want to go back to the drawing board and come back stronger next year.

Imran Tahir (Guyana Amazon Warriors Captain): "[100 wins in CPL for this franchise, how does it feel?] It feels very special doing it in front of the home crowd. They always come and support us. So, just want to say big thank you to them. Our President, Dr. Irfan Ali, Dr. Ramroop, their support has been unbelievable. It feels like we are part of the family, we have been living here for a long time. That is what they made us feel. It is very important as these are the things you expect when you go to a franchise. If you get that, you are in a very happy environment. We have been looked after very well.

[Mehidy Hasan Miraz has slotted in so well, doesn't seem like you miss Mohammad Nabi] We do miss him, he played a big part but Mehidy has been doing very well. He had a good tour in Australia. He has been doing it in International arena for a long time. The way we bowled was amazing, he got crucial wickets. Very happy for him.

[How do you see the final league game in Barbados?] I have said many times before that whenever you go out and play, it is an opportunity. It is an opportunity to represent a beautiful nation. We are going to take that game seriously. Maybe, we might give an opportunity to youngsters. If not, we want to win everything ahead of us. We don't want to take things for granted. We are doing our process right and want to carry on, doesn't matter where we are going.

[Message to the fans] I just want to say, big thank you. It is not easy, every year the support has been unbelievable. We are getting more and more support every year. I have no words to say thank you. I am looking forward to Barbados, I have heard it is mini Guyana. I can't wait to see the people there."

Nicholas Pooran (Trinbago Knight Riders Captain): "[126 wasn't enough, why was that?] Definitely, disappointing season for us not only today with the bat. I take full responsibility for the shot I played there. We got off to a good start with Munners and Hales. It was irresponsible of me, we lost our way during the middle. Coming here to Guyana, we know how important it is to put partnerships in the middle and then try to explode.

[Been a challenging season for the seamers, what are the lessons learnt?] There are a lot of things we can learn from this tournament. Kudos to the guys for sticking in. We had a chance coming here to Guyana obviously with results going our way. We knew if we win this game, we had a chance. Things have happened in the past and they have happened for a reason. We had some control over it, things happen in a tournament right. Lessons have been learnt, it is a bit of transition we are going through as well. Lot of senior players but a lot of young players getting an opportunity as well. We kind of faltered a bit but it is an experience opportunity for the guys to learn and embrace. We won the title the last year, doesn't make us a bad team. Yes, this year we didn't qualify but we need to rebuild and come next year to represent the people of Trinidad and Tobago better.

[What is the most important thing in the rebuilding process] First, thankfully, our local senior players are still around. The gap between the senior players and young players locally, that is something to correct. It is onus on them to take the opportunity and help the players learn. TKR has been dominant when the senior players were in the prime of their career and were consistent. That is why we have five stars on the shoulder. You see Guyana and the other teams where the local players are getting so much better and they are getting experience. So, for us it is about rebuilding and with the opportunity, people get better. For us, our job is to help them grow as well. No panicking in our camp, everything happens for a reason. This is a moment where we have to think and look and select and make sure that we understand what is required for our conditions, especially at home. We had a disappointing leg back home as well with the rain and the conditions didn't suit as well. First half of the tournament, the seamers didn't bowl well, batting we didn't convert the starts. All around, a challenging season for us with bat, ball and in the field as well, dropping crucial catches. All in all, a poor season for us. We have to accept that we are human beings as well and we are going to have seasons like this. We have been really consistent over the years, we earned the right to have a bad season as well."

Mehidy Hasan Miraz (Player of the Match): "[How does it feel to get this award] It is a great moment for me. This is the first time I am playing CPL. Getting the 'Player of the Match', I enjoyed a lot during the game too.

[You hit the stumps a lot, what else was the key tonight?] I just looked to bowl in the right areas. Just looked for wickets. I knew the wicket was turning and there might be help for spinners. So, I just tried to bowl at the stumps.

[Experience of playing with the Guyana Amazon Warriors family] It is a great moment for me. First time, I am playing for the Amazon Warriors. They looked after me. Thanks to the management, the way they looked after me.

[About the play-offs] We have one match left against Barbados. It will be challenging but we are looking forward to it. The Play-offs, if we play to our best, we will go to the Final."

Player of the Match: Mehidy Hasan Miraz

08:12 AM IST, 10:42 PM Local Time: What a dominant performance from the table-toppers Guyana Amazon Warriors as they beat the Trinbago Knight Riders by six wickets and eight balls to spare. With this result, the Nicholas Pooran-led defending champions, Trinbago Knight Riders are out of contention for a Play-offs spot! This is also the 100th win in the CPL for Guyana Amazon Warriors, they are the first team to achieve this feat!

Chasing a paltry 127 for victory, the Guyana Amazon Warriors got off to a mixed start. Mavendra Dindyal showed good shot range against the spinners as he used the sweep shot and also his feet to hit Akeal Hosein for maximums. However, Akeal had the last laugh as Dindyal was trapped in front for 19 (14) in the fourth over. The hosts finished the Powerplay at 35/1 while Glenn Phillips was bowled by Usman Tariq in the seventh over his scratchy 18-ball 11 came to an end.

Then, the experienced pair of Shimron Hetmyer and Shai Hope built a key 49-run partnership which stabilised the innings. Hope focused on rotating the strike while Hetmyer also came up with three maximums to keep the Trinbago Knight Riders' bowlers under pressure. Hetmyer did hole out to deep mid-wicket off Sunil Narine for 28 (19) while Mehidy Hasan Miraz also struggled to make just 2 (14) before getting out to Lahiru Kumara.
