Amelia Kerr and Charlie Dean pose with the winners' trophy.
Amelia Kerr (New Zealand Women Captain): "(On the win) A win today, yeah and any time you get a win for your country, get to to do for it, it's already amazing.

(On the fourth-wicket partnership) Yeah, amazing. To be at 40/3, they were amazing. They looked very comfortable, was brilliant to watch them and nice to get the points.

(About the series) Yeah, nice to get those points, yeah to win games of cricketer for New Zealand. In recent years, if we see, we have been in good position and got wins. I think we have been in great position and have been playing some good cricket.

(For Suzie Bates who retired from ODIs) It started off from the toss, the amount of runs  she has scored, the person she is, I always say, we have been lucky, for all the girls who have been with her in the change room. I think it's gonna be a huge loss for the game whenever she retired from all formats. But yeah, I have been very lucky to exchange the dressing room with her for these many years."
Charlie Dean (England Women Captain): "[Her thoughts on the game] Yeah I guess batting first on a day like today was always going to be tricky. You are expected to bat 50 overs and then adjusting your tempo is hard. Not the result we would have liked.

[On the collapse while batting] I think Alice and Freya batted really well. When you have shortened overs, you have to carry the momentum. We lost the wickets and lost our way. With the DLS, wickets are important. We backed them to play their strokes.

[Did she think of bringing Bell back into the attack?] Yeah, definitely. We needed wickets to stay in the game. With one eye on saving her in the death. She was brilliant moving the new ball. Shame that we found ourselves on the wrong side of the result.

[Did she enjoy captaining in this ODI series?] I enjoyed it. The girls supported me. That's the challenge of captaining but I enjoyed it a lot."
Maddy Green (Player of the Series): "(thoughtprocess behind the chase) It was about staying positive and staying in the moment, to absorb the pressure and be in the moment. Brooke [Haliday] was great and we had to be there. We are in a very good place and it's really nice to carry on the momentum. I just tried to be in the moment.

(On success) Maybe a little older and wiser maybe, haha i don't know. Maybe trying to concentrate more on my batting and trying to keep it simple. Thank you so much."
Player of the series: Maddy Green
Brooke Halliday (Player of the Match): "[How did she assess the situation?] I just tried to build a partnership with Maddy. Just watch the ball and go from there.

[Did she change anything while playing in tricky conditions?] Not too much. Just watch the ball and play as late as possible. The advantage of being a left-handed batter is that the bowler had to adjust.

[On her approach while batting today] We just made sure that we didn't lose any wickets, keeping the DLS in mind. Izzy Gaze also played really well."
Player of the Match: Brooke Halliday
