Pitch Report (Aamer Sohail): "When you come to this venue as a batter, you step out with the assurance that you are going to get full value for your shots, and that is exactly what we have witnessed throughout the T20 series and the opening ODI.
This pitch has heavily favored the batters in a big way. However, of late, given the breezy conditions, the even grass covering, and the sheer hardness of the track, there is also something in it for the seamers and fast bowlers.
Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the spinners, as they are not getting any real purchase or assistance from this surface. Examining the pitch closely, that healthy grass covering is certainly bad news for the slow bowlers. To outwit the batters out here, spinners have to be clever and bowl much slower. As a wrist spinner, you need to rely heavily on your flippers and top-spinners, while left-arm orthodox and finger spinners must create tight angles and dart the arm ball through to keep the batters quiet.
All in all, once again, it is a fantastic, high-quality cricket pitch."
Shaheen Shah Afridi (Pakistan Captain): "[Total they are looking at] In the last game as well we batted first. I think it will not be any different. Playing 2nd T20 here, we scored 200. We will see how the first 10 overs go and then will look to post a good total.
[On the bowling group] Yeah, I think they have the experience. Just need to bowl in the right areas. You need partnerships in bowling as well to pick wickets.
[On the top-order] I feel like we played 50-60 percent with the bat, few players still not in good touch. We are looking to give them the confidence.
[On the team news] We have the same team."
Harry Brook (England Captain): (On the toss decision) "We will bowl first. We feel dew might play a factor in the second innings, so hopefully we can restrict them to a low total and chase it down.
(On his experience of playing in Pakistani conditions) There's a lot of experience in our group. It's not just me who's played here before, but it's a different series and a different occasion. We've got to be switched on from ball one and stay in the moment as much as possible.
(On England's white-ball depth and new faces) The depth in English white-ball cricket at the moment is outstanding. I feel that if anybody goes down five minutes before the toss, we're well covered, and someone else can come in and fill that role exceptionally well.
(On the new rule of choosing one ball after the 34th over) It's something we've discussed in a lot of detail. I think we can use it to our advantage, especially with the ball, and then with the bat as well, making sure we capitalise at the right moments.
(On changes to the playing XI) It's the same team as at the end of the summer, but Adil Rashid comes in for Liam Dawson."
