In the end, 159 was a decent score, but Edinburgh made it look smaller than it was. McMullen's 82 not out was the innings that changed the match, while Davidson's two early wickets were the highlight for Glasgow. The Rockers kept the asking rate under control, reached the fifty mark quickly, and then buried the contest through that 108-run third-wicket stand. Glasgow had moments. Edinburgh had the match. Mitchell Santner (Edinburgh Castle Rockers Captain): (On the team's success with an unchanged side) "Yeah, I think, as I said, the guys know what their roles are. It hasn't changed too much. In every game, the conditions have changed a little bit, but we've kind of gone with the same blueprint and adapted when we've needed to. It's been really good so far.
(On his approach to captaincy) Yeah, I think at the start you're kind of feeling it out. You want guys to be confident, especially with the ball and with their plans. I'll chip in if I think it's not a great plan. But yeah, the guys are bowling really well, different guys at different overs. Obviously, some tough ends with the wind, bowling some hard overs, and all that stuff doesn't go unnoticed. And then with the bat, it's just being really clear and playing what's in front of us. The pitches have been pretty good, so we haven't had to change too much there.
(On managing players who are not getting into the XI) Yeah, I mean, it's a challenge, obviously. You want to give everyone a go when you can. I guess there are two ways that you kind of want guys to be part of it, but they're training hard and we're trying to involve everyone when we can. It doesn't mean on the field for the eleven, but conditions could change in Ireland. I'm not sure what we're going to get over there, but yeah, it could be the same team again. I don't know."

(On staying positive despite the conditions) I just think if you go into your shell, you put yourself in a bit of trouble as well. So, I just try and express myself as much as I can, regardless of the conditions. Obviously, it's situation-based, but my idea is to express myself. That's the key.
(On the team's environment and the tournament) I think we've got a good recipe going within the squad. I think it's a good environment that's been formed by everyone, and it's been an awesome run so far. So, hopefully, we can keep the momentum shifting going into Ireland."

I think they bowled well in patches, put us under a bit of pressure, and then the boys came up with a few plans that worked quite nicely. I thought we got just slightly below-par score, and then, yeah, a few edges not quite going our way there in the field, not allowing us any pressure to build, really.
(On whether the pitch got easier in the second innings) Look, probably a little bit, but not enough to make a difference to the game. I think they just maybe got ahead of us a little bit there in the second innings, and as I said, a few things going their way, not our way, made it tough to put the pressure on and squeeze.
(On the team's progress heading to Dublin) Yeah, I think the guys have earned some time off now. Look, I can't fault their effort because they've been outstanding. We've got a lot of experience, as I keep saying, and they turn up every day and try their best, and that's all we can ask. We're just not quite putting the complete performances together - a lot of good individual stuff, but something we've got to look at when we get to Ireland."

Glasgow Cosmic recovered from a slow start to post 159/6, but Edinburgh Castle Rockers responded with a chase that had control, acceleration and, above all, Brandon McMullen. The Rockers reached 163/3 in 19 overs to win by seven wickets with six balls remaining. McMullen's unbeaten 82 off 47 was the defining innings, while Andries Gous' 49 gave him the perfect foil for a match-turning third-wicket stand. Glasgow's bowlers had their moments early, but once that partnership took charge, the game steadily slipped away from them.
