The Guyana Amazon Warriors have pulled off a stunner in front of their home crowd and have made it 2/2. The Desert Vipers are still searching for that first win and this loss will hurt them.

Probably, Warriors did a chase like this after a long time. We were under pressure and I don't want to lie about it. However, Shepherd and Nabi have done that multiple times in the past. Without their support, we would not be able to do what we did today today and what we have been doing over the years.

Romario Shepherd (Player of the Match): "I went out and said I am going to play positive from Ball 1. I hit a six on my second ball. After that, I said 10 runs per over, as long as I stay I can do it. Nabi was giving positive vibe as well.

[Was this your best T20 knock?] I wouldn't say this was my best knock as I didn't finish the match. I hit when the ball was in the zone and showed that I can bat against spin as well. Yes, folks you read that correct. They were 95/7 in a 206 run chase. Romario Shepherd and Mohammad Nabi have pulled a remarkable heist with that 91-run 8th wicket stand of theirs. Shadab Khan and co are shocked as they simply cannot believe what they just witnessed.
Guyana Amazon Warriors won the toss and elected to bowl first. They had a good start with the ball and reduced the Vipers to 54/3. That is when the middle order stepped up and counterattacked in fine fashion. A solid 61 off 48 from Rilee Rossouw was backed by fine cameos from Kyle Mayers (35 off 18), Bevon Jacobs (30 off 17) and Vriitya Aravind (28 off 11). Together they pushed the score to an all-time high of 205/6 in 20 overs. The pick of the bowlers for the Warriors was Imran Tahir for his 2-37. Romario Shepherd, Mohammad Nabi and Gudakesh Motie took a wicket each.
The chase was never going to be easy and needed some big partnerships. It started with the openers being watchful and scored just 2 runs off the first 2 overs which included a maiden from Nathan Smith. The tables though turned big time from the third over as both batters, Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Quentin Sampson took down Kyle Mayers for 32 runs. They raced to 55 in 4.2 overs and that is when Gurbaz mistimed one off Smith to get caught in the deep for 31 off 15. Sampson continued the onslaught and raced to 35 off 17 before being cleaned up by Khary Pierre. The score stood at 71/2 at that stage. Once both the openers were gone, the bowlers gained back some control and ran through the middle order.
