Khaya Zondo for his unbeaten 58 off 45 balls under extreme pressure with wickets falling at the other end has been adjudged the Player of the Match. Also, special mention to Baartman who bowled brilliantly today for his 4 wickets thereby becoming the leading wicket taker of this tournament. He is happy so is Zondo and Ackermann was a relieved man in the end. He believes the Dolphins have played 70% of the potential they are capable of and hopes come the big day tomorrow the final they can deliver an A-class performance to lift the trophy.
Ayan:- So, Dolphins are through to the finals of CSA T20 Cup 2021 here at Kimberley as they beat the Titans by 4 wickets with 3 balls to spare in a low scoring thriller on a pitch that was stopping and turning for the spinners.
Winning the toss and deciding to bat first Titans never got going scoring scoring 138 in 19,4 overs. Baartman was the star for Dolphins with 4 wickets including 2 in 2 and he is the leading wicket taker in this tournament. There was a brief passage where Titans scored 25 off 8 balls and Dolphins dropped catches. 50 catches dropped in this tournament so far. Thereafter Bosch tried with the bat and the ball for the Titans but it was to no avail.
Khaya Zondo with his 58 unbeaten off 45 balls, yes got 2 reprieves via missed run outs but he will take that. He paced the run chase perfectly and got the sixes and fours when it mattered. He kept his calm and composure. Titans tried their heart out but it was Dolphins who stole the thunder. They are in the finals while Titans bow out.
