So, that's that as the Deccan Gladiators register a dominant 10-wicket victory over the rudderless Chennai Braves. The Braves didn't help themselves as they posted only 83/8 after being asked to bat first. Coming out for the chase, the duo of Sam Cook and Junaid Siddique made the ball talk while Nicholas Pooran struggled quite a bit. However, the Gladiators' skipper Pooran eventually found his radar and got going in the third over bowled by Cook which went for 16 runs.
Pooran continued to blaze away with a couple of sixes off Chris Sole's bowling while Tom Kohler-Cadmore also joined the party soon. The Englishman took heavy toll on Obed McCoy who bowled the floating Powerplay over which went for 15 runs. Thereafter, Kohler-Cadmore went into over-drive as he smacked Siddique to all parts of the ground. Eventually, Pooran struck the winning runs to wrap up the game with 23 balls to spare.
