And what does this win mean for the tournament? A lot. Glasgow Cosmic have their first victory, having lost their opening game, while Dublin Guardians remain winless after two matches.
So, what separated the teams? The partnerships and the wickets. Cosmic's 68-run stand between Roy and Berrington transformed a shaky 44/2 into a winning total. Dublin's best resistance came through Tector, but he never found a partnership of comparable impact. Roy made 60, Berrington blasted 51 off 27, and Cross supplied the late push. For Dublin, Tector's 75 off 45 was the standout performance, but it needed company. Ngidi's 4/21, Ali Khan's 2/25, and Van Meekeren's 3/28 ensured that company never stayed long enough. Glasgow simply kept knocking on the door until Dublin had no wickets left to answer.
George Munsey (Glasgow Cosmic Captain): (On how the win feels) "Yeah, a lot better. The boys did really well to turn around from the first game, and I think it's a credit to Jason Roy, the way he batted and gave us a score to try and defend.
(On the message after the first game) Look, it's just one of those. It was pretty easy, actually. I think you just put that behind you. It's a tournament - you can't win a tournament in the first game. Credit to the guys, as we stuck with the same eleven, and us, to come out and performed today, which we did.
(On his approach at the top of the order) Yeah, definitely. It's just one of those wickets where you can see the guys are getting big scores, and not being afraid to allow yourself a bit of time before trying to take the attack to the opposition.
(On captaincy and leading the team) Look, I think it's easy when you've got a lot of experience in the dressing room. You can rely heavily on them, but ultimately it's an absolute pleasure to lead this group and the Cosmic in this tournament."

Richard Berrington (Glasgow Cosmic, Player of the Match) - "(On the result) Yeah really enjoyed it. Obviously it was important to comeback stronger today after yesterday's performance.
(On the batting in the powerplay) We got a really good platform today in the powerplay. The guys batted really nicely. It does take a few balls in the middle overs but you need to trust your abilities. It was good to have Jason Roy at the other end and really enjoyed batting with him.
(On their plans for this game) Not too much to be honest. I think in this format especially, you can have days like that. But it was making sure that we had clarity on our plans. We were being smart on how we want to go about things. And yes we saw both parts of that.
(On the score)Yeah I thought we were pretty happy. The score was just above par. On another day we might have gotten a bit more. But with our bowling we were really confident going into the second half.
(On how he plans to keep up the progress) I just thing it is about keeping trusting the process. The guys have been working really hard . It has been enjoyable since we arrived here meeting up with all the guys and there have been a few different players in the side. We know we have a big game next week so just enjoying things and keeping things simple. "

Ravichandran Ashwin(Dublin Guardians Captain) - "(On where it went wrong) We would have liked to concede 15 runs less probably today. My first over wasn't up to the mark and I take responsbility for that.
(On the first innings) We have been pretty underpar in the last two games with both the bat and the ball. This was a much better pitch and a 170 kind of track. Harry Tector batted really well and that is a real positive for us.
(On the surface) These are not wickets where you can go berserk upfront. The kind of shot making is important. We need to play good cricketing shots and time the ball. We've lacked it in both the games. Jason Roy and Paul Stirling showed us how to go on about this wicket. The lessons are right in front of us and we need to learn them and get better. These are players who are playing for the first time and they will get better.
(On backing the players)Just back them. We want them to get better from the previous game. Thats all you can ask for. Even if we can get better by five percent from the previous game then it is still a big thing.
(On their plans ahead) We don't want to emphasize too much on the result. It is very easy to say that the process is set but we firmly believe that it is set. And given the time, these guys will continue to improve significantly."

They defended 183/5 to beat Dublin Guardians by 33 runs, securing their first win of the tournament. The Guardians fought hard through Harry Tector's brilliant 75 off 45, but their chase never quite matched the required tempo. Cosmic had the early wickets. Then the big partnerships. Then the late strikes. Dublin had moments, but Glasgow had the answers. And by 19.3 overs, it was all over.
