Do join us for all the upcoming games from all around the globe. For now, it's me Hitesh Peddurwar signing off along with my co-commentator Arijit Kundu and scorer/analyst Raju Khariya. Until then stay safe ...
Shahrukh Khan(Lyca Kovai Kings Captain): " Yeah, I think the toss plays an important role but in the games like this the team which plays the better cricket wins the game. But the way they chased today, in the middle overs gave us a little scare but happy to be on the winning side. I think it's the trust that we show in the batters and as I said on the toss that we have stuck with the same team for more or less.
I think few players are with us for the last three years, we just ask them to go out and express themselves. I think we need to be just happy and keep the process going. I think we are not a result-oriented team, even if we would have lost the game, we would have kept the same processes continuing. I think these four days are going to be tough. We need to practice well and come hard for the finals."
Baba Indrajith (Dindigul Dragons Captain): " No regrets[to bowl first] We have dropped some important catches at times so it is important to come back in the game. We have also failed to gel up during crucial times. One of the areas we have to look at is the fielding. We are normal and in the last three-four games, we have seen some errors being repeated. But in the end, they were a better side.
Boopathi gave the impetus, but we needed one of the top-order batters should bat through the innings. That was one hell of a shot from him (Sarath Kumar), especially that switch hit."
B Sachin (Player of the Match): "Yeah, the team management and the captain motivated me a lot. I watched the videos of the previous games and made my mindset clear. My role in the team is to play till the end, my role is to anchor the innings till the 15th over and then score with brisk rate."
Player of the Match: B Sachin
Catch of the Match: M Mohammed
Most Sixes: C Sarath Kumar
Time for the presentation ceremony...
M Mohammed: "Quite happy. It has been a privilege to play under Shahrukh Khan. Everyone is very happy in the team. We were in awe when Sachin was striking the ball in that way. The team environment is great at the moment. Everyone's happy. The youngsters are stepping up in a lot of games. Happy want to pick more wickets [on fetching 50 TNPL wickets]."
