6:40 PM IST & Local Time: What a thriller we have had today. Dindigul Dragons hold their nerves in the end and get over the line with four balls to spare. Baba Indrajith remained unbeaten on 96, missing out on a well-deserved century.
Earlier in the match, Dindigul Dragons won the toss and opted to bowl. They did well in the first half, restricting Kovai Kings to 46/3 after 3.
However, in the second half, Shahrukh Khan scored a magnificent half-century and he was well-supported by M Atheeq Ur Rahman, who played a cameo of 29 off 12. Sai Sudharsan also scored a scratchy 33 off 39.
Varun Chakravarthy picked up two for 29 while Sandeep Warrier, VP Diran and P Vignesh all picked up one wicket each to restrict Kovai Kings to 172/5.
In reply, Shivam Singh and Vimal Khumar added 26 runs for the first wicket before the latter lost his wicket.
Baba Indrajith joined hands with Shivam in the middle and duo took the Kovai Kings bowlers apart.
They added 73 runs for the second wicket and took the game away from the Kings. Impact player Sarath Kumar made 20 off 15.
Skipper Ashwin came in with just four runs needed for the win and perished first ball, going for the glory shot.
