Johnson Charles (Player of the Match)- "I think we had to adopt to the surface because we came from Sharjah, which was a bit low. This is a good wicket to bat on with some bounce. I just tried to use the powerplay well. Playing in the middle overs can be a bit hard at times. So while chasing 170, if you use the powerplay well you can come on top.

Tom Kohler-Cadmore (Sharjah Warriors Captain): "It is nice to get the first win. We had three standout performances. Yeah, Charles did make the pitch look a lot easier than it was. I think Charles and Raza played similar kinds of innings'.
Charles took it deep for us and allowed Sams to play that cameo. The short boundary made it hard to defend. They bowled really well, but the short boundary made it really hard to defend. We were really happy with 170. We managed to claw it back at the end.
At halfway, we thought it was just around par score. But a couple of partnerships got us there. Whenever we needed a boundary, Basil Hameed came up clutch for us; it's great to see we've got a full squad of players. I believe we've got twenty guys who can win games for us."

It was tough for me to use the experienced bowlers. I tried to use the spinners from both the ends and it was tough to decide. Yes, Sikandar Raza batted very well in the first innings and it was a bit unlucky for him to get out in that manner.
