Milestone
3 wins on the bounce — Sunrisers are snowballing. Abhishek Sharma was back at his best tonight and the fast bowling unit seems to have come together too. They are beginning to appear like a freight train which is now ready to crush anybody in their path.

Meanwhile, DC's start-stop journey continues. After two excellent wins to kick off the campaign, they have now lost 3 of their last 4 matches. They need to find the answers soon as they will next take on Punjab Kings — the only undefeated side in the tournament — on Saturday, April 25. On the same day, Ishan Kishan and co. will be in Jaipur for a reverse fixture against RR, who would be gunning to avenge their loss from earlier.

But before that, Rajasthan Royals will feature in Lucknow tomorrow as they lock horns with Rishabh Pant's Super Giants. Will Shami and co. give a hard time to the young lefties at the top? Who will LSG open the batting with? Plenty to look forward to.

Do join us for it. We go LIVE at 6:30 PM tomorrow. For now, this is Darpan Tikiya signing off on the behalf of Akshay Bhide, Pritam Dey, AkshayaKrishna Polya, Manish Bishnoi, Paras Yadav and Aman. We hope you enjoyed the coverage as much as we did bringing it to you. See you soon!

Abhishek Sharma (Player of the Match): "Thank you so much. (How was his feeling?) I mean, the way we started, we had a plan (me and Head) that we wanted to make full use of the powerplay. When we went out there, I felt that the wicket was a bit slow. We had to change our plans but I still wanted to utilize the powerplay, as I always do. It's just always been a special moment scoring runs in this special ground and that also, I have said that before that you don't know the par score over here. I just wanted to entertain the crowd.

(How has he managed to take the game to a higher level every year?) Well, special mention goes to the coaches and the captain for backing me so much. They allow me to play freely. Three years back, I had this in my mind that I wanted to show my talent to everyone. You need to have the back from the captain and the coach, that's very important in the team. You know, the environment we had in the camp in the 2024 season was something really different and changed everything for us. So, it wasn't just the team but the team wanted to grow the youngsters. This is with the same intent, I play for Punjab as well. Punjabis like to play with freedom. Playing here in Hyderabad is always special.

(On his celebration) Of course, I have been doing this 'L' celebration for long. It's just 'love' for the stadium, the way they support us throughout the tournament, even back at the hotel. It's just that I want to contribute from my side for the team. I want to show some love to them. Of course my parents are here which is always very special. My sister is missing because she had some infection. So, this is for you as well.

(What are the conversations he has with his family members) I mean to be very honest, I don't know how but since my Under-12 days, my dad has been sitting next to the screen all the time and in Hyderabad as well. He is always sitting there and whenever I am at the non-striker's end, he always tells me how to play a certain shot. So, it's still going on. I want one of the cameras to go to him from next time and just see his reactions. It's going to be really fun. It's actually incredible as to how much I look at him and he looks at me, giving me instructions."

Ishan Kishan (Sunrisers Hyderabad captain): "(His thoughts on the performance) What do I say? Looking at how Abhishek batted and the way Klaasen scored at the end, there is not much to say, especially on this pitch where you know that when the ball will go old, it won't be easy to hit. All credit goes to Abhishek.

(The discussion in the dressing room) The discussion is to take it match by match, one day at time. Everyone in our team can hit. So it is about taking 2-3 balls to judged the bounce of the pitch. So there is no plan as such. Just go out there and try and score freely.

(On how he decides upon the bowling changes, case in point: Harsh Dubey) What is the ratio of balls vs runs to get? Harsh Dubey is a smart bowler. I spoke to him and told him that you will bowl the crucial overs. It was important to get the best bowlers against the best batters.

(Is he a vocal captain inside the change room?) I don't say much. I just say go out and enjoy."
