2:43 AM IST, 10:13 PM IST: An easy 27-run victory for the Lancashire Lightning despite losing the toss and batting first in a rain curtailed encounter. Batting first Lancashire deposited a strong total of 177/4 on the back of Jos Buttler's 83 and his 101-run partnership with Liam Livingstone (47*).
Fancying the difficult chase in just 15 overs, Luis Reece departed early getting out to Tom Bailey who bowled 2 overs at the top and got rid of overseas recruit Haider Ali cheaply as well. Harry Came's 32-ball 45 was the only good knock from the top order but it was too slow looking at the steep total.
Brooke Guest at the fag end made a guest appearance and blasted his way for 31 in just 13 balls smashing five fours and a six. Daryl Mitchell was the pick of the Lancs bowlers with figures of 2/13 in 2 overs.
Tom Bailey (2/16) and Luke Wells (2/32) also chipped in with wickets with Tom Hartley getting one to his names completely running through the Derbyshire batting order. Its time for a break in the T20 Blast as the teams compete in a round of County Championship fixtures beginning on June 25.
